@Tom-Elliott do you think this error is related to this: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/7085/ubuntu-server-14-dhcp-fails

Also, @K-Hays please try re-running the installer now.

@Wayne-Workman I highly doubt it as its failing to install Apache.

@Wayne-Workman I think it’s because he’s on an unsupported Ubuntu now. Lts is good for security but package lists trunk is expecting might not be available

Wow this is quickly escalating to wiping and reloading the OS. Since he made references to trying multiple version of ubuntu. What is the one recommended OS that will work for sure with 1.2.0 trunk (since that will be the future of FOG).

@K.Hays I think it was from it failing to install the first time. Apache crashed ungrAcefully and the pod it expected to find no longer existed

@george1421 I try to make them not care really but for 1.3/trunk I’d say 14 or higher for Ubuntu 8 of higher for Debian 6 or higher for rh based and 22 or higher fedora. I don’t think arch really cares lol.

@Wayne-Workman is ^^ this something that should be noted in the wiki pages? (at least on the upgrade to trunk page)

I’d hate to say this, but if you have the time, nuke and pave this installation. If you want to continue with Ubuntu then go with 14.04 LTS. If you want the RHEL variant then Centos 7 (minimum installation). Then install the trunk version directly don’t install 1.2.0 stable first just install the trunk. You may still have external problems, but once we get you on a stable install then we can work on the external issue that may exist. I don’t like it that you’ve spent all this time to get FOG going. Its not that hard to get setup. But there are quite a few parts that the FOG project doesn’t have control over in play here.

@Sebastian-Roth The real issue was Ubuntu 12 with FOG Trunk. Solved by Ubuntu 14 with FOG Trunk.

@Wayne-Workman True, but the reason i posted this was not solved by reloading. In fact reloading hadn’t helped with it at all before posting this, because i did have 14.04 + Trunk at one point and was still getting this error. The issue behind the original post was PXE-E32 error which was solved by changing option 66 and 67 for not only just the dhcp servers, but all of the ip pools also, which is something we hadn’t thought to check until wireshark showed somewhere it was set to the old fog server. But, we now have fog up and running regardless, so thanks everyone! You’re all great!
