Thank you I shall watch it. and I appreciate the time you and all of the staff of fog put in helping us better understand and utilize a great product.

I just threw together this example using an MSI, in this case Google Chrome.

Hopefully this will get you started.
Iāll do Java tomorrow if I have time, and maybe a few for batch files and powershell files.

@Tom-Elliott Fair enough!!!

@dureal99d trunk will be 1.3.0 when we make trunk the āstableā version. Right now there is no 1.3.0, or to look at it another way, you are running what will become 1.3.0?

I see I am using version 1.2.0 but it is a trunk build ver. 6177. So my next question is how does one get the 1.3 build?

Fog 1.3.0 is out?
As of now (February 2016), No.
But it will be soon. We donāt have the man power nor will power to support anything older than the latest stable, and why should we try when FOG is open source and free to all? There is no excuse for not upgrading - and when people ask for help with older versions, I have no problems with telling them to upgrade to the latest stable first before I help (and here lately, weāve only been recommending FOG Trunk because itās so close to being 1.3.0).
Also remember everyone here who has a tag by their name - they donāt get paid. We do this for fun, for experience, to give back, whatever the reason is - we could be doing other things. And helping with old versions of FOG because someone doesnāt want to put in the effort to upgrade is not fun to me. So thatās why I just write and document for the future 1.3.0 version at the moment - because I know itās really close.

@dureal99d 1.3 is not fully released yet. The trunk build is refereed to as 1.3 and is very stable, but still in a beta stage. I would recommend if you are starting off in FOG to start with the trunk if you can.

Fog 1.3.0 is out? Wow I didnāt know that. Anyways thanks for the link. And sure lāll still take that tutorial on rev.1.3.0

If I made a video or article, Iād only be covering FOG 1.3.0 using the new client.
Here is an older tutorial but this might still be relevant to the legacy client and 1.2.0 https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/289/how-to-make-a-simple-snapin-start-to-finish
