      …and I don’t just mean about major releases 🙂 (IE https://fogproject.org/news/)

      I think one place - maybe the Wiki main page - would be useful to have some sort of update now and then; topics such as an imminent client update, the forum upgrade or the recommendation for people to move to the development build are all significant topics that should get a story of their own and not get lost in the midst of replies to people’s issues.

      (I am assuming that this actually doesn’t exist already - if someone corrects me, I’ll delete this 🙂 . But it needs to be made more visible!)

        Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

          @Tom-Elliott

          Last update is 10 months ago. It really doesn’t reflect the state of FOG or the work thats been done.

          And I don’t mean that to come across like a dig at all either - quite the opposite. Maybe by “feature” I mean someone to take charge of updates to the news page.

            the WiKi SVN article somewhat promotes upgrading to the developmental revisions…

            I really think that the other upgrading methods should be ditched, IMHO. But others here feel otherwise.

            At the least, the Upgrade To Trunk article and the SVN article ought to be merged. I’ve thought about doing this, but the SVN portion would be huge compared to the others, and I just haven’t gave it much time nor thought.

            And I’m not “In” enough to maintain the news section.

            Sad truth is, although Tom is fuc**** awesome at what he does, he is largely a one-man-army and he has a full time job and wife and so on. He’s the driving force behind FOG.

            JBob comes in 2nd, with massive improvements to the new FOG client.

            The other developers aren’t active enough (IMHO) to be able to keep the news section updated.

            And me,

            I’m a forum troll, and I help people as I can, but I’m not “in” enough to keep it updated (IMHO).

            I’m more than willing to try, but I may fall short sometimes…

              @Wayne-Workman To be frank, you’re spot on. Tom is just … Tom. And I have to balance my university studies, job(s), FOG coding, FOG forums, and the website contact form. So we don’t really have the time nor motivation to have regular updates. But with that said, with FOG 2.0 we are aiming to have almost all of the development team far more active, and we plan to have relatively constant updates on our progress with 2.0 simply because of how long it will take.

                  I very much agree. There have been so many major fixes, changes and improvements, that anything less than SVN (3410 in my case) is hamstrung by comparison.
