Is there going to be another official release?

Version 1.2.0 was released nearly a year ago, but there have been several unofficial updates since then.
Some organizations are not allowed to deploy “beta” or “unfinished” or “unreleased” products by policy, regardless of whether the release is stable or not. It’s just the way it is, and the policy isn’t going to change.
Can we get something officially released so we can move to a newer version? I just need something that says “1.3.0 release” on the front page of fogproject.org.

I believe they are working to a final release under this code base before the switch away from mysql and php the only part left needing significant work is the new client which is advancing quickly.

all of the “unofficial updates” to date have been our progress toward an official release. It’s taken a bit longer than we expected, but an official release is going to be released “soon.”

I hope so. I trust the unofficial stuff well enough…but we really can’t do much until it’s a final release. I kinda wish they’d take a relatively recent stable build, bug test it for two weeks, and release it as-is just so we could use it.

It’d take longer than two weeks for a release candidate version to be given the stamp of approval.

I get it. It’s just that there are some new features in Fog that many of us can’t use because they don’t have that stamp of approval.
