Hi, I just recently install FOG server and import all the required config and host. During image deployment, the systems crash and show the error below. Anyone has encountered this issue before?

@Afif I have seen this happen before due to a bad RAM module. Please run a memtest on the NUC.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

It looks like you’re using the latest available FOG Linux kernel (6.12.35) for the client to boot.

It also looks like you’re using an Intel NUC and the kernel crash occurred while partclone was running.

Do you have any other information about the context that might be helpful?

My only suggestion at this point is to try booting the client to an older kernel. You can select a different kernel in the FOG web management GUI by:

          (1) click FOG Configuration (wrench / spanner icon)
          (2) Kernel Update
          (3) select an appropriate older “AMD/Intel 64 Bit” kernel
          (4) click “Download” for the selected kernel
          (5) click “Install” at the “Save Kernel” page

Recently I tried to updated the kernel (re-compile myself) to the latest stable version which is 6.16 but I still got the kernel crash during deployment. I even re-capture the image from golden host to isolate the image corruption.

Can you suggest what older kernel version should I try? Should I also upgrade/downgrade the initrd as well? I will try to re-image another NUC model to isolate the hardware issue.

Thanks for the feedback. I swapped the RAM module and NUC was able to re-image. Case closed.
