When I go to delete a host from fog I am prompted for a Delete Item(s) box wanting a username password. Is there someway to have this message not come up.

@mclapper68 This is a feature to protect you from accidentally deleting a host or image from your system.

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!

Thanks. I guess there is no option to turn that off? I understand that for an image but for a host I do not think it is needed.

@mclapper68 this is intended behaviour because while you may not think it’s needed, somebody else might. This same effect occurs on anything trying to be deleted.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@mclapper68 The short answer is there isn’t a way to turn it off. It prevents accidental removal of objects from the fog database. Yes I know its a pain, but its there to protect the IT Admin (and the possibility of someone else from hijacking the IT Admins session) from deleting random objects.

              It’s not a bug it’s a feature 😉

Thank you for clearing that up for me. It would be nice if there was an option to turn that protection just a humble suggestion. Thanks again.

I’ve added a feature to allow admins to enforce or not the reauthentication of deleting and/or exporting items.

@AlexPDX Its best to start a new thread for this issue.

To help push things along… You don’t have any imaging issues? The ftp error might indicate that you have/will have image capture issues. Run through this script to ensure all of the passwords are in sync. https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/11203/resyncing-fog-s-service-account-password
