Running Version 6213 (i know it’s old but i haven’t needed the latest for the tasks i use fog for) and i’ve run into a possible issue.

I’ve verified i can capture other systems without issue but I have an HP Elite Desk 800G3 that will not capture i keep getting “No Network Interfaces found”

I’m venturing i need to update Fog quite a bit, however the last time i upgraded i lost a bunch of stuff and i’m nervous to do so again. Yes i have backups etc but i don’t want to go through the hastle of upgrading/rolling back. Does anyone have experience with Elite Desk 800G3’s an the version of Fog i have?

That makes it difficult to assist you. You are very behind on updates, we’ve had numerous stable releases since this version.

You can try to replace your undionly.kpxe and undionly.kkpxe and ipxe.efi files with the ones here: https://github.com/FOGProject/fogproject/tree/master/packages/tftp

If that doesn’t work, You’re going to need to update.

@eldiablo909 I will tell you that you WILL have issues. Now that you know you will have problems and that is out of the way, we are here to help you work through them.

I would also suggest that you update to the 1.4.0RC9 release of FOG (akin to 1.2.0 trunk releases). That one has the most fixes applied. There is an issue with 1.3.5 where under certain conditions single disk resizable function doesn’t work as expected. It only pops up under a specific condition. That condition was resolved in 1.4.0RC1.

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!

Updating doesn’t hurt 🙂 As long as you have a backup by hand what could be lost? Nothing! except time. 😉
This one reason because i use my main fog instance within a vm with only less space, for my images i use a storage node (physical machine).

              Regards X23

@eldiablo909 Follow the same process as the upgrade to trunk for 1.2.0.

                  https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_to_trunk

                  sudo -i
                  git clone https://github.com/FOGProject/fogproject.git /opt/fogproject
                  cd /opt/fogproject
                  git checkout dev-branch
                  cd bin
                  ./installfog.sh

So the update has been going for a while… currently sitting on “Updating Packages as needed” and has been like that for the past 10 min or so. I don’t think it’s stuck… i hope it’s not stuck…
