@Joe-Schmitt Yeah you’re probably right. Maybe my view on this is a little naive but it hurts to see such great project possibly die.
But because you mention it I will donate to fog project. -
@paat in general free / opensource project don’t actually get that much monetary support. FOG is great example, for the longest time we have been paying out-of-pocket to keep the forums up and running and to even maintain our fogproject.org domain name. Not to mention the costs we have of hosting our own development / test servers at home. That’s changed a little now with the single ad we display , but things still aren’t ideal.

@Wayne-Workman I think too. But what I don’t get is the fact that the patreon campaign runs so bad. I think this tool is used by so many people in companies and there barely reach the patreon goal. Makes no sense to me.
I mean I just learned that this tool exist and I play in my test environment with it and it works so much better than SAD-Tools or other tools I tested.
I am down to support this great tool with donations but reading about quiting made me a little hesitant.Find one to develop this tool is one thing, but maintain the tool with new driverpacks is a other. I hope they will find a way to continue.

@paat He’ll probably only give it a couple months to on-board some folks that are interested.

Hey guys just found this:
Update from BadPointer (developer of SDI)
I said to patrons that the campaign will go on and all funding will go to SamLab.
I can afford to give up my share but he became too depended on that money. I should have never tried to close the Patreon campaign.
I’ll stay with the project till some else takes over and only then I can move on.source
