@jkepple2003 are you typing just the IP or <IP>/fog/management as the url?

@adukes40 I tried both and when I type 10.1.0.28/fog/management I get a page that says “Not Found The requested URL /fog/management was not found on this server”
-
Did you actually install fog?
-
I’m going out on a limb and saying the install failed. If you search the forums or wiki for “Ubuntu 16” you’ll find steps to install on Ubuntu 16.

@Tom-Elliott @Wayne-Workman
I followed the installation instructions on this page https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Installation.
I went back and looked at the install log file and noticed that it said “php5… Failed!” I’m just not sure where I went wrong. I followed the instructions step by step. I attached the log file. Could one of you take a look and see if there is something I’m missing? Thanks for the help.

@jkepple2003 I asked you to search the forums and wiki. If you had done that you would have found these:
https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/7131/fog-on-ubuntu-16-04-php7/26
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Ubuntu_16.04 -
@jkepple2003 Ubuntu 16.04 has specific installation instructions because it doesn’t have php5 packages, only php7. Please refer to the wiki entry for proper install.

@Wayne-Workman I did find the wiki page and it looks like there are a lot of issues with running FOG on Ubuntu 16 maybe it would be better if I started over with Ubuntu 14 instead. Thanks for your help.

@jkepple2003 just going to throw in my 2 cents here. Either use an LTS version of Ubuntu, or avoid it and use something like CentOS. Ubuntu has quick release cycles for their normal versions and doesn’t maintain support for their releases long enough to be considered a viable option for a server. In general Ubuntu is usually the source of a lot of trouble with FOG.

It’s not that complicated. If you follow the steps in the forum post below, that’s honestly the only differences.

@Wayne-Workman I just used Ubuntu 14 and it works now. Thanks again for the help.
