        @vbelous Install. Upload.

I know I’m being kind of rude, but we need information. For example, specifics. If you just want an answer to the question, see my first line.

If you want to know what you need to do in a more specific sense, please give us information to work with.

We need things like: FOG Version (Specifically the version none of the “Latest version” crap).

Also realize that Windows 10 is very new to ALL of us. We don’t have instructions because it’s not in as much a need for many of us. That’s not to say we can’t help, but we are all contributing to the community and project in whole on our own free time.

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG! Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@vbelous I would HIGHLY suggest upgrading, and while I understand hesitation, I’d recommend more to install fresh.

I don’t know what OS your FOG Server is running on, but seeing as most ran 0.32 on Ubuntu 10.04, I’m going to guess the same. Even Ubuntu 12.04 is very old now.

I’d recommend, installing a much more modern version of FOG that has much better support for many of the changes since Windows XP and 7.

Again, this is totally up to you, and all I can do is give recommendations.

On the side, however, seeing as you ARE running 0.32, you will need to ensure the Windows 10 install is done using MBR, not GPT. This entails you disable UEFI/EFI on the system that is running, and completely reformat the disk before install. You will need to make it a Single or double partition layout, don’t try to setup as a Default layout as, depending on the image type (Resizable, or non-resizable) it may cause major issues.

From there, you create your image definition in FOG. Make sure to give it a suitable name. I’d recommend (if you followed the paragraph above) making it a resizable image which will require you to sysprep the system first.

The host OS will need to be assigned as Windows 7.

            Then perform the upload.

Again this is all from the top of my head. This by no means is a fool proof method.

@vbelous is recommend you to install the trunk/dev versions of fog which, to my knowledge, do not have these same issues.

That article needs updated. It looks like those instructions apply to fog 0.32.

I added a note at the top suggesting to use fog 1.3.0.

Since you’re very new to FOG server I feel the need to ask if you’ve been able to make images for windows 7 or 8?
Are you just new to FOG or are you new to imaging entirely?

Depending on what customizations you want to make, making an image for any version of windows isn’t all that different really.

What is your end goal here?

Have you tried the FogApi powershell module? It's pretty cool IMHO

I’m not sure what you mean by that

And since you have 7 and 8 images, are you running into some sort of trouble with uploading a windows 10 image or are you just worried that there’s no option to say an image is windows 10 in the older versions of fog. Setting it to windows 7 or 8 doesn’t change anything in the imaging process that I am aware of, it’s more for inventory and organization of the database as I understand it. Granted Windows 10 is an option in the latest trunks, so it doesn’t really matter.

Have you tried uploading a windows 10 image to your working image configurations for 7 and 8 and run into trouble?

@Arrowhead-IT No i haven’t, i never created a image before. The ones we have in placed right were created by a former employee.
I’m basically starting from scratch when it comes to image creation. If my current version supports windows 10 is there a major reason to upgrade ?
