Trying to Image a Dell Venue Pro 11 (5130) x64.
-
Hello,
I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Fog 1.2.0 version: 3564 Kernel: 4.0.5. I am trying to image a Dell Venue Pro 11 (5130) x64. I was able to get the Fog boot menu to come up and was going to register the host but it gave me an error of Cannot find HDD on system. I am also using snp.efi to boot the system. I do not have the option to legacy boot on this tablet. Is there something that I am missing on the tablet or server side?
Thanks,
Reuben -
Perhaps from the FOG boot menu, try to run all of the compatibility checks and see if things are OK?
Additionally, you can try any of the .EFI files located in /tftpboot and see if you get different results or not.
Kudos for using FOG with UEFI.

The attached picture is the error I am getting when I run the Fog Compatibility Test on all the .efi files.
Thanks,

Ok, now we need information about this problematic device.
Manufacturer, model, chipset manufacturer and model, and if there is a NIC controller, the manufacturer and model of that, too.
And most importantly, all info you have on the HDD. Capacity, manufacturer, model, interface, and are you using MBR or GPT ?

@Wayne-Workman This is a Dell Venue Pro 11 (5130). It is 64-bit and has Windows 8.1 x64 Pro installed with a Intel Atom CPU Z3795 1.60GHz with 4GB of RAM. The hard drive is a Samsung MCG8GC 50GB and is GPT partitioned and it has BitLocker enabled on the partition. The tablet doesn’t have a wired Network Card so, we bought a dock and the Dock has a ASIX AX88772C adapter.
Thanks,

Thanks,
ReubenI think we’ve found your problem… Can you try turning off BitLocker?

@Wayne-Workman Turned Bitlocker off and am still getting the same error.

That just leaves the GPT partition issues from a few months ago. Is there any way you can change the partition?

@reub_rester Please take a look at this thread: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/5732/dell-venue-8-pro-imaging-emmc and give it a shot.
