Added nodes, updated everything to 3429. Can no longer image.

PXE-MOF is likely a TFTP or DHCP issue. See this: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Troubleshoot_TFTP
the bzimage error… maybe the kernel didn’t download completely/correctly… maybe the newer kernel isn’t right for the hardware you’re trying.
For that, try re-running the installer (for 3429, the one you already have in the /bin directory). If that doesn’t work, I’d recommend downgrading back to kernel 4.0.0 for that error. We’ll go from there. -
tftp://x.x.x.x/default.ipxe… ok
http://x.x.x.x/fog/service/ipxe/boot.php… ok
/bzimage… No such file or directory (http:ipxe.org/2d0c613b) -
ok TFTP is not installed on Nodes does it need to be? but TFTP works on main server for file transfer testing etc.
-
if the nodes are on the same local network, no. but it’s possible to have multiple tftp servers… I don’t do it… yet.
I also must admit here I don’t have a ton of experience with storage nodes yet. I just understand how they should work.
what about the bzimage error ?
-
Well they’re on the same network. Just on different IP’s, VLAN etc. Our main site has the server. The other remote sites have their own network with the nodes. But its all tied in as one big network. I am still getting the bzimage error so tftp is working. Is it a kernel issue? Should I downgrade? would that fir the bzimage issues? Everything we have is a lenovo

Lenovos…
Do you know what kernel you were using prior to the upgrade? I know 4.0.0 is pretty good for Lenovos. Also, you might try undionly.kkpxe for your boot file.
-
boot file is kkpxe. I will try 4.0
-
Also, can you re-run your installer just to ensure the kernels and inits are downloaded correctly.
Those come from sourceforge at the moment, and they have been having issues lately.
-
re run the svn installer etc?

Yup. the one you already have in the /bin directory.

OK I downloaded the 4.0.0 86_64. Still doesn’t work ran the svn installer to 3431. Tried an image and still get the bz image error. I changed the bzimage name in tftp to the one I downloaded from Web gui the 4.0.0. Still a no go

Don’t forget that around SVN 3410 and up the storage node installer resets the storage password when run. It should display the new password at the end of the install.
-
i have those new passwords already set in the the storage node part. I have disabled all of them now. I am trying to get something to just boot up and image off the main server like it did. But nothing is happening just that bzimage error failed to load

Ok so I tried to use a VM to image and it worked just fine. The VM boots into PXE and will quick image. So why won’t my Lenovo’s? I changed the kernel to what I was told to and it worked I use kkpxe. They were working just fine now all of a sudden they do not? But my VM’s do?
