@andyroo54 we made the forums group a little later, it sends out an email for anything concerning a fog hangout.

@46:40 A community member describes how to add additional paths that Windows should search for drivers, and says you can use a network path. I assume the network path would need to allow anonymous_logon and guest reading privileges. But I was looking into this and found the TechNet article that describes it here:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753716(v=ws.11).aspx

Note, there is no space in “currentversion”, so that’s a typo in the article.
    It’s HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion - DevicePath

The article states it applies to Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2, but maybe it works on other Windows too? Maybe, don’t know until someone tries it.

Of note for this, while we wait.

Fixes include WOL issues which will now, and properly, WOL from storage nodes.
IPXE binaries have been updated to start up with a 10 second delay (and informative message first so people don’t think something is hung). This 10 second delay should help with some systems that take a bit for the link to come up.
Group taskings only worked for imaging types only which was accidental. This is now fixed and should work properly.
Proxy information was not working properly and seems to work for RC 14.
Fixes the init.d mysqld init script getting a comment in some Distributions of redhat. This was unknown but figured out and fixed for latest. This was originally thought to be a repository issue but it was not.
Fixes a bit of Arch installation problems.
Fixes Fedora 24 not being able to be installed for some reason or other.

@coco65 said in FOG 1.3.0 Release Candidate 6:

It’s a great solution if your working under a tight budget.

    I’d say it’s a lot more than that. 😉

This is fantastic news! We are eagerly awaiting the official release. I will spin up a VM and test it out.

    Awesome.

Any expectations as to when the full 1.3.0 might be out? Liking what I’ve seen so far.

Snapins will download from the local storage node instead of the master server

Well, that’s huge. I imagine this would solve a ton of problems for so many people.
I know we will use it at work, a lot.
