What ever can be done by gpo should be done with gpo (ms philosopy). If you don’t have a domain controller for gpo applyment you can simply use gpedit.msc locally to set this on your golden image.

this only happens with Windows 10 1703 when you use “copyprofile” in unattend.xml, if so and if you want to stick with copyprofile (like me) you have to delete the mentioned folders but you miss a file that has also been deleted, let me have a look for it…

if you are sure that the correct image is selected you should check the db for the image definition pointing to the right files in filesystem, i am really poor with sql maybe someone else can give you the hint howto check the corresponding table rows in the db.

Ready to try the RC’s ? you can currently have 1.5.0 RC 10, if you can easily snapshot or backup your main fog system why not try to swap into RC’s?

FYI, this example is using plaintext password, you should encrypt the password or get sure that the answer file is been deleted after deployed. Safest decission would be to encrypt it.

just my 50 cent…
check the specific host for its client service options, i can remember a case where a new client was inventorized but for some reason the options for the host specific client options were disabled.

Have you ever tried to disable the option to join the domain for a specific host, delete it’s fog client log and shutdown the machine, enable domain joining again and boot the computer, wait some minutes and supply the fog client log.

The answer is no, this is not what fog is intended for, you need to deploy your image again or use third partie software to gain your goal.

@jbranka4 is it possible that you boot all your computers by default via network? If so i bet the exit type is a problem.
what if you try to boot the hard drive from a computer by it’s boot menu manually by hdd/ssd what ever, i am sure it will boot. now try to manually boot via network and try to boot from local harddrive entry, if it just reenters the menu the exit type should be the problem.

i am still not sure if the banner will be kept when updating.
I was helping some guy remotely and we updated fog after that he was missing his banner.

Then i digged in the backup and copied it back to it’s place, that was the reason i’ve opened this here.

Afai remember in the past (older releases) we also had to copy a custom pxe background again and again if fog has been updated. So i am not sure what is kept and what not.

So what i want is to know is, do current releases keep the banner if there is a custom one?

@jeffrey-boulais there is a LTSB of 2015 and 2016, 2015 is 1511 and 2016 1607 afai remember 1511 still had the autostart problem.
