Hi,

no my times are all correct…
If the scheduled time arrives my task went from scheduled to active and after (i never stopped the time) 3-5 minutes the jobs are gone. I think this is normal because i can bet there is a timeout that will kill the scheduled task if they could not be started.

Why will no one skilled help us with this or maybe giving tips howto search or debug that?

• RE: Scheduled tasks dont't start

Hi,

i can definitely say this is no WOL problem technically.
I’ve tested this much times, and i know that machines have to be shutdown propperly.

I don’t know how often i need to explain that again.

WOL always works if i use the advanced task wake up.
If i schedule a task the machines never wake-up, if i try to wake up them over advanced tasks after the scheduled tasks hasn’t worked, the machines wakeup propperly!

Something on FOG wents wrong, this is no WOL issue no no and no.

• RE: FOG problems connecting to NFS share on NAS4FREE

Hi,

by default there is storage group with a belonging storage node if you installed fog.
if you now would like to add an additional storage node (nfs share) where fog is not installed physically on the os side, create an additional storage group with your storage node configured inside.

Hi,

it’s important to keep the default storage node, add your nfs drive as a additional storage node.
Also you will need an FTP Server on the system where your new nfs share belongs.

Hi,

using etherwake like Daëavelwyn described will also not work with scheduled tasks or cron tasks.
It’s possible to just wake up a machine or to wake up it with an immediatelly followed image but
NOT with scheduled tasks or cron tasks!

Please any of the developers please check that behavior!

This is not a generall WOL Problem it’s a FOG Problem!

Hi,

additionally i tried this (uses etherwake) http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/wol-not-working-in-fog.3780/#post-10429
The Problem is the same, so iam sure that there is a BUG in FOG

WOL is only working standalone or in combination with creating an image immediatelly!

Why will no one of the creators check this bug?

I would like to make it clear.

Sending only a Wake up over advanced tasks to any computer will always work here, also if i switch over to the etherwake method.
Both methods never has worked for waking a computer when a task was scheduled or croned.

Is there no one out that can assist with debugging that problem? Maybe it’s just a syntax typo or another little problem that can be fixed within minutes but iam not experienced with debugging this also i don’t know exactly how fig works. So please help out

Who can explain how a scheduled task work? Where is the job saved, which php scripts or whatever will be triggered is the scheduled time has come? How can i step by step debug that to find out what went wrong?

• RE: Dell Optiplex 7010

Hi,

if the OS was installed via UEFI respective GPT is used then it’s only possible to image as raw and with most hw it’s not possible to boot via PXE (legacy) if any UEFI Boot device is enabled.

I have that problem with a HP 6305 where Windows 7 was preinstalled, this was done by UEFI using GPT, it is not possible in bios to have the network card enabled for legacy pxe booting while it’s needed to have an uefi boot device because windows will only boot then.

I contacted the HP Support and at the end they say the TFTP Server has to support UEFI PXE.
