i have never updated fog before, i know that it mentions that there is a .fogsettings file and will use it to resetup fog but is the normal way for an update to overwrite existing files or let the .installfog.sh do the job again?

i have added german to the text.php bottom line and i see german now, but even if i choose german not a single translation is working.
Is there something else to address?

How can i download the latest svn version? Something special to update or just rerunning the installsh?

that explains why the website is broken if i just place the german messages.po and .mo files in the EN language directory

why isn’t the project driving your recommendations? grrr
i really want to have fog this time running well i tried a first run with 0.32 and was working hard on it but in the end it was useless for our business. This will be the second run i want fog so hardly for a nice automated backup of workstations.

ok but what is the secret about integrating the language files between 0.32 and 1.1.2 in 0.32 i could just place them and they was used but today something is different. Also the files you found are from 0.32 there are around 250 translation missing today, i will translate them after i saw a working german translation with the stand from the 0.32 files.

So gimme a little motivation

Hi,

sorry but there are no translation files.
I load messages.pot into po-edit (under Windows) then it generates all the strings to translate,
i did that then you can save to a messages.po and it also generates a messages.mo and thats all i got.

i just use the webif to change users password, same problem if i just set quick imahe right:

Doing only that or changing the password bars me out of login.

Like i told you also an additional user i created for care if bar out happens will not work after that:

After i was bar out totally i tried to reset the passwords like that:

But nothing no more login till i reinstall, drop mysql db before and so on…

Hi,

ich created a translation some time ago for 0.32 in german:

I actually try to use it with 1.1.2, i placed the de_DE.UTF-8 dir into /var/www/fog/management/languages but nothing happens into the dropdown menu for the language.

Is there something additional i need to change so it realizes german is there?

edit:

I’ve opened my old 0.32 translation with po-edit and imported additional string from messages.pot and saved it again. Then i placed the new messages.po and .mo files in my de_DE.UTF-8 dir but german does not appear in language dropdown.

What is wrong?

Hi,

another issue i address with 1.1.2 is that i have the feeling that the FogScheduler isn’t running well after a system Startup, i created some Scheduled test uploads and the Computers doesnt wakeup until i restarted the FOGScheduler Service after every reboot of the Fog machine.

The Strange thing is i can see that the FOGScheduler is starting while ubuntu boots, but for some kind of reason something went wrong or it crashes after a short time.

Every time i restart the Scheduler Service Planned Tasks will run immediatelly.
Any Idea?

Hi,

first of all good to be back here after a year
I’ve installed 1.1.2 under Ubuntu 13.10 an i have a strange problem here.

If i change fog users password i cannot login with it anymore, also if i reset
the users password directly with the sql db no more login!

Same thing if i create a new user before, it can be used for quick imaging
(client login, boot menu) but not to access the management interface.

Any idea what happenend?

tps = Power Management Chip
acpi walk = related to missing tps drivers
ali = Watchdog für power management.

No of this errors is related to your problem, have you tried a newer kernel based on kernel 3.9?

It’s possible that you have to copy the chain.c32 from a syslinux archive to your tftp root folder, i integrated fog into an existing default menu, i use the above code to boot first hdd with my menu.
