It seems like a lot of people run into issues like this when building an image on a physical machine. I would recommend by starting off by wiping all partitions out with a gparted disc and then making sure BIOS is set to legacy mode (at least until UEFI issues are resolved) and then install Windows. It would prevent issues like this from occurring

Sorry for the late reply, got crazy busy on Friday. Anyway, I think it may be a problem when I try to pxe boot the machine, that’s when the error comes up and not much more information is provided :(.

      Hi Robin

I take it you’ve created your new Win7 image and have uploaded it to the server correct? And you’ve associated that new image to the host you’re trying to image and also updated the host os entry to win7 too. If you open the host from the GUI and deploy the image from there what happens?

Nevermind I was able to fix the issue. Basically what had happened was that somehow the connection of “auto eth0” didn’t have the correct ip configuration settings because when I typed in the “gateway” Ip address section, the IP “vanished.” I just figured out that one must hit “enter” after you type in the IP address in the gateway IP address section. How annoying.

Very noobish mistake and now I know for next time.
