    • RE: Additional mac addresses broken ?

@Tom-Elliott Updated to rc11 but still nothing, no additional macs get added at all so not sure where to look next.

** As a side note unsure if it’s related but if i add a pending mac filter in Host Register for 00:15:5d i still get a machine in pending hosts with mac of 00:15:5d:1c:90:03 like the setting is not working at all. That is a primary mac not additional just for reference.

@Wayne-Workman Yep i know we are waiting for delivery of bigger drives. Images are built directly on the machines then sys prepped and uploaded no vm’s involved at all.

    • RE: Additional mac addresses broken ?

@Tom-Elliott The only macs that appear in fog are the wired NICs which are intel etc, no other additional macs get added at all unless i add them manually myself. The client is on windows 7 using version 11.5

Could anyone tell me if the automatic collection of additional mac addresses is broken ? in rc8 and rc10 the client seems to list all the macs in it’s log but they never get added to the gui in fog nor the pending macs screen.

Ah ok that kinda sucks i guess there is no timeframe for rc11 either ? Can the snapins and images replicate to a group that does not contain a master node ?

Snapin was the same until i had this problem then i removed and re uploaded the snapin to rule the old one out but still had the same issue, i will check on the remote nodes though and see if they are up to date.

After upgrading to the latest svn i seem to be getting a hash error when trying to deploy snapins, this is using location plugin and setting host to use another group other than the one with the main server in. If i drop the storage nodes back to the group which includes the main server and leave host group blank all works ok.

Checking the hash in the browser returns the correct hash

    • RE: Snapins failing due to hostname not changing

      @Wayne-Workman
It is a sys-prepped image yes but the fog service is disabled until everything is complete and a reboot is complete, then it is enabled and as you can see starts the auto update of client but when the new client fires up it claims there is someone logged on but there definitely is not because we even have a script in the image which forces user logoff instantly until deployment is complete.

      Windows 7 currently
We have the force task reboot disabled so we can queue stuff up for when it is rebooted ( always have done though )

      Thanks

    • Snapins failing due to hostname not changing

I have not seen it mentioned in recent posts so hope this is not a repeat post but i have an issue currently where i deploy an image, everything seems to be going ok i see in the log file fog auto updates the client to latest one included with rc8 but then it goes on to the hostname changer section where it should rename the machine but instead declares there is someone logged in ( except there 100% is not i sat and watched the machine myself so i know no one is logged on ) so cancels that action and begins the snapins but unfortunately our default snapin script relies on the name of the machine being correct which it is not.

Thanks i completely removed apache and php then ran the latest trunk and let it install the nessesary components, after that i updated the nodes to the same trunk too but does not seem to have helped much.
I am also getting this error

    • Slow web ui response

Does anyone else has very slow ui response from fog ? Runing latest trunk but has been the same on others for the last few weeks, running mint os.
I get an error in apache log about reaching maxrequestworkers but even if i increase that ten fold i still get the error ?
      Any ideas would be great.
