@george1421 Sorry for the late reply I was AFK. So does the storage node hold any image or essentially is just like mirror?

One central FOG server plus multiple Storage nodes in different locations possible?
I’m trying to find out if my idea is possible. I work for a school district and Im gonna implement FOG. My question is if its possible to have the FOG server at a central office location and Storage nodes at each of the campuses (around 17 campuses) spread out in a city. We are all connected together using a telecommunication company routers.
Lets say I’m in at campus A with storage node A and I image, does the image travel all the way to central office Main FOG? or does the storage node A take care of it?

RE: How much are deploy and capture speeds affect when FOG server is running from a Hyper-V VM?
@george1421 I had an Optiple 7010 wint Win7 that I had VirtualBox running CentOS7 with FOG and I was getting 7-8GB/min

RE: How much are deploy and capture speeds affect when FOG server is running from a Hyper-V VM?
@george1421 Just 10 because I just set it up. Hyper-V is added role on Server 2012. The Server 2012 handle DHCP, I just added the role of Hyper-V and installed it.

@george1421 Deployment time to a Dell Latitude 3410 10th Gen i5 8GB ram and 128GB nvme. 9 minutes deployment time at around 2.5-3gb/min
Network is 1GbE switches and routers all around. I have it running on 8 vCPU the CentOS VM.

Currently I’m running CentOS 8 with Latest FOG version and I got 6GB capture and 3GB deploy on images. Running from a Win Server 2012 Hyper V VM. Server is a Dell PowerEdge R815 32Cores and 64GB of RAM.

RE: Some PCs fail on multicast after starting
We are using a Cisco 3750 layer 3. I need to double check igmp snooping setting. I’ve never had this problem until this week. Since we are using the switch only. A setup at another school was through the router and we never had setup.

RE: Some PCs fail on multicast after starting
@george1421
Do you recommend and Layer 3 switch or just a regular switch? -
RE: Some PCs fail on multicast after starting
@george1421
We are running this off a Layer 3 switch. Switch takes care of dhcp and ipxe boot file. And are running it in a closed network, just fog server and 24 ethernet lines. -
Some PCs fail on multicast after starting
I get this error but the log file does app in server. Put of 24 around 9 fail.

RE: FOG client error after migrating from server to VM.
Found them, yes transferring them worked but also resetting encryption data also worked.

FOG client error after migrating from server to VM.
Hello guys I’m having trouble after migrating my FOG server. I followed the guide in the wiki and it worked but my FOG client part on the desktop gives me CA certificate errors.
Reason I’m doing this is to have a backup incase my server goes out, VM seems safer.

UEFI boot Optiplex 3050s not working
Hey guys, just recently I receive some Dell Optiplex 3050s and im trying to register them to FOG but when i boot into ipv4 NIC the machine gets an IP from DHCP server but after that the ipxe stuff doesn’t come out, it just goes into diagnostics check. It is UEFI boot and i see no reason why it shouldn’t work since i have other HP UEFI machine that boot on UEFI and they work perfectly.
Any ideas on what might be causing the problem? -
RE: Multicast sometimes fast sometimes extremely slow
@Sebastian-Roth Okay will troubleshoot, I did not know that one slow PC slowed down everyone. Thanks I will look into grouping to see which one is slowing it down.

RE: Windows 10 Automatic Repair being caused by FOG
@Sebastian-Roth Yes fast boot is disabled and when I captured the image I made sure to shutdown correctly and that all updates were installed before capturing. The image is the to multidisk non resizable.

Windows 10 Automatic Repair being caused by FOG
I believe FOG is causing this because from all schoo campuses around, im the only one using FOG and im the online one that is getting blue screens and Automatic Repair loop.
What can be causing this, Ive read that refind can cause it? -
Multicast sometimes fast sometimes extremely slow
Hey guys I’m multicasting and some time I get 7-10 gbs per minute taking around 10-20 minutes to do 30 PCs. Some times for the same 30 I get 2-3 gbs per minute. Taking around 30-40 minutes now I’m getting 100-200 mbs per minute taking over 6 hrs. What gives? They all have 1 GIG uplink

Windows 10 clock is always off after imaging
Is there a way to update the clock on windows 10 machine with FOG server remotely?

RE: UEFI PXE boot
@george1421 It worked the policy was disable on each scope and the secure boot on enable, just had to activate the policy and and disable secure boot
