RE: TFTP issues on new installation
So, after doing some testing, TFTP appears to be running and functions, yet Fog tosses up TFTP errors. Any suggestions?

RE: TFTP issues on new installation
Thanks, Tom. i did rerun the install of Fog with success. /tftpboot folder is there with permissions set. I will try a few tftp commands to insure it is functioning correctly. Think you hit on something. If I try to issue the command tftp it says it can’t find the command. Attempts to tftp from another box fail. I try to reinstall tftp and it says its already there. i’ll dig deeper.

TFTP issues on new installation
Re post from an earlier thread. I need to get this running as we are in a bind. Fog 0.32 on Centos 6.5. Everything looks OK except that when I go to upload an image, i get an error: “Unable to start task Unable to connect to tftp server”. I did confirm that tftp is installed and running. I set the password in Fog Settings and set the fog user password in Centos. I even tried using the root user without success. Thanks to everyone who posts.

RE: Task won't start, unable to connect to tftp server
Apparently, had not re run installfog.sh after starting nfs. Tried that first and the error. So, I ran the commands above and still get the error. Just in case, I did re set the password for the Fog user to match the Fog settings in the gui. Also checked permissions of /tftpboot and it is 0755 and the owner is Fog.

RE: Task won't start, unable to connect to tftp server
AHA! There is no /TFTPBOOT. Perhaps it did not get installed.

RE: Task won't start, unable to connect to tftp server
OK, set password on the server, set the gui to match, saved changes and still get the same error.

RE: Task won't start, unable to connect to tftp server
Well, The user name in the field referenced above was fog and the password field was populated with a seemingly random combination of letters and numbers so, logged in as root, I did a passwd fog and pasted in the contents of the field from the fog server, but that does not help.

Task won't start, unable to connect to tftp server
New Fog 0.32 install on Centos 6.5. When I attempt to initiate an upload task, I get the following error:
Unable to start task

RE: Installation Failed on php-fettext
SUCCESS!!! Many thanks for navigating my ship through the “fog”.

RE: Installation Failed on php-fettext
Very close. Last error is: Setting up and starting NFS Server…Failed!. But, I can log into Fog and browse the interface. I assume image management won’t work until nfs is up and running. BTW, thanks for sticking with me his morning. I know you guys have real jobs as well.

RE: Installation Failed on php-fettext
Close, but still issues. ClamAV update failed. So, I tried removing it from the config.sh and it seems to get past that, but on configuring services, I see the following:
Configuring services.
- Setting up fog user…OK
- Setting up and starting MySql…OK
- Backing up user reports…OK
- Setting up and starting Apache Web Server…OK
- Restoring user reports…OK
- Configuring Fresh Clamcp: cannot stat
/etc/freshclam.conf': No such file or directory cp: cannot stat
/etc/sysconfig/freshclam’: No such file or directory
…Failed! - Setting up storage…OK
- Setting up and starting NFS Server…Failed!

RE: Installation Failed on php-fettext
I ran the command you suggested with the following results:
Retrieving http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.i686.rpm
Preparing… ########################################### [100%]

- Checking package: php-gettext…Failed!

RE: Installation Failed on php-fettext
Thought so, but in re running the install,
rpm -Uvh http://pkgs.repoforge.org/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.i686.rpm failed with transfer failed error.
rpm --import rpms.famillecollet.com/RPM-GPG-KEY-remi failed with import read failed
Was doing 20 things at the time. Must have missed those failures. Should i just try the failed repositories again later? -
Installation Failed on php-fettext
Fog 0.32 0n Centos 6.5, 64 bit. All seemed to go according to the user guide until it fails with the following error:
Checking package: php-gettext…Failed!

RE: Many will want to rollout Win 8.1 on new hardware well before the expiry of XP in April 2014
We’ve been deploying Windows 7 for a few years now and have always sysprepped the image because it seemed like a good thing to do. in certain cases we deployed without using sysprep and are still here to tell the tale so i say do what feels right for your situation. We’re a few years away from deploying Win 8 globally even though I run 8.1 on my desktop.
