RE: No graph in the bandwidth on dashboard
Yes, graph is turned on. I thought the graph should be quite constant when I do an upload (30 minutes with 300MB/min). Instead there are sporadic peaks only.

RE: SVN 2580 : move files from /dev to /NAMEOFIMAGE
I have exact the same problem. The problem has been around since I moved the image folder from /images to /home/images. The files are not moved from dev after upload has completed.
When I check permissions etc I find:
before upload the folder /home/images/t500 exists as expected (probably because I moved it manually last time I created an upload). This folder/files have 777 and ownership apache:apache. (running on centos 6). When upload has completed this folder is deleted and I guess it fails when moving the mac-address-folder inside dev folder. The mac-address inside dev folder has permissions 777 and ownership root:root.
I have to move it manually and change ownership.

No graph in the bandwidth on dashboard
Running svn 2652 on Centos 6 there is no graph in the bandwidht during an upload. The client tells the rate is about 306 MB/min but there is no activity in the graph. Is this as expected?
Default storage group.

Problems during install/upgrade with "Starting FOG Multicast Management Server...Failed!"
During an upgrade from 1.2.0 to svn 2652 I get an error Starting FOG Multicast Management Server…Failed!
Running CentOS 6. This problem has been there for ages on my server. The solution is to manually start and stop the service, and then run the installer again.

How stable is latest svn?
A question which I guess has no simple answer. I am running 1.2.0 now and it works good. I am not up to any critical deploy at the moment and I consider “upgrading” to latest svn for bug reporting and testing. My question is if the current svn is stable enough to work more or less as expected? Does the FOG client work as before?

Try to turn off AHCI in BIOS (normally found under SATA settings, harddisks. Choose Compatibility mode.

Better view of active tasks in Task Management
The status bar in Task Management is minimized, i.e. it only show a narrow activity bar. You have to mouse over to have the full info shown. I really cannot see the point in this as the full view (maximized bars) are a lot better and more informative to read. The only reason to have this minimized is perhaps to have a shorter list? If most users stick to max 10 clients at a time and running GUI on large screens I think maximized bars are a better choice.
What do other users think about this?

RE: In PXE menu: show image name in addition to host name
The image association is lost when an image is deleted.

In PXE menu: show image name in addition to host name
On top of the PXE menu the following line is shown if a host is registered: “Host is registered as xxx”. Could the image name be shown as well? Nice to trouble shout if a host has lost image association and what image is in use (when making different images on same hardware).

RE: Error fog booting from san device 0x80 after deploy
Was Grub the default setting in previous releases? Just wonder as I had no problems in older versions of FOG.

RE: Error fog booting from san device 0x80 after deploy
With the current version of fog by default it uses SANboot as an exit type to get out of the fog menu. To change it do the following:
[]Navigate to the FOG configuration page (gear symbol)
[]Click on PXE Menu settings
[]Change the exit type to “grub”
[]Save settings

Thanks a lot for this info!

try something other then sanboot
Hm, I need some more info here as I really dont know what you suggest I have never chosen SANboot, and where do I turn it off? I have never run into this problem on hundreds of computers. Only these two R60e from Lenovo.

Error fog booting from san device 0x80 after deploy
I have a couple of Thinkpad R60e which upload/download OK, but after a deploy they cannot boot from iPXE. I get an error telling “fog booting from san device 0x80”. Then the machine hangs. If I unplug the LAN cable it works and boot as expected.
Running Windows 7 (one disk, resizeable). Server is running FOG 1.2 on CentOS.

RE: Problems with permissions/ownership og image folder
Hi Tom! I started with a clean installation so nothing is moved or copied from /images. I even set the permissions/ownership correct in /home/images but they are back to wrong settings each time I do an upload.
During an update (svn) the /images are recreated again. I have not checked lately if the /etc/export file is kept unchanged (it was correct now with references to /home/images).
Sammary: The ownership is changed to root:root each time I do an upload

RE: Auto Display List of Host/Groups/Images
I fully agree: default settings for new installations should be values like LIST and 12.

RE: Auto Display List of Host/Groups/Images
Thank you Tom! I did not notice this feature implementation before now. Nice to have a list of images and auto search in host view!

RE: Problems with permissions/ownership og image folder
Hi Tom! I am quite stuck here as there are problems with permissions. Whenever I make an upload (I deleted the old image/files from gui). Then I recreate the image and start an upload. Inside the dev folder I now find these files:
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 1 aug 8 08:45 d1.fixed_size_partitions
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 15 aug 8 08:45 d1.original.fstypes
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 259 aug 8 08:45 d1.original.partitions
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 0 aug 8 08:45 d1.original.swapuuids
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 3571496504 aug 8 08:57 sys.img.000As you can see the files are owned by root and the permissions will not make it possible to move the folder/files outside the dev folder after upload completes. Right? I have to move them manually and change permissions. Could FOG set correct permissions or is it impossible to have the /images folder inside my home folder?

RE: Problem with win7 and Dell GX755
Could the problem be there is only one partition (as seen in the screenshot)? My Thinkpad models show two partitions. The one partition GX755 running win7 works fine.
