      Did the one machine that work have the SSD and HDD connected, or JUST the SSD?

      Did the machines that failed have the SSD and HDD connected, or JUST the SSD?

        Try to turn off AHCI in BIOS (normally found under SATA settings, harddisks. Choose Compatibility mode.
