It’s not the first time svn version do this to me, but sometimes computer doesn’t appear any more in the web interface. fog.log give me “Middleware::Communication Unknown Response: Invalid Host”, but when I search in database, client exist !
If I try to make a quick registration, client appear in web interface as new client (name = mac address), but if I try to rename it I’ve a message “client already exist” !

It’s problematic, I have 5 or 6 clients who have disappear this morning, I had to suppress them from the database and then recreate them, not convenient at all…

Other problem, I made a group with all clients (around 320), and each time I look at the membership, some clients are not anymore in this group whereas I add them the first time…

I’ve got a problem with printer manager : it doesn’t work ! Everything was ok last year with fog 1.2 and client 0.3, but when I test now on computers network printer is not mapped… (fog 1.3 svn and client 0.9.4)

But no printer appears on the client, tested with 3 clients and 3 different printers…

And if I lauch command “\impression\s109laser1”, printer is well mapped…

I tested with removing client 0.9.4 and installing 0.3, printer are well mapped but with error message (error 0x00000709, unable to finish operation, verified printer name…)

I have software to deploy software (GPO or I prefer PDQ deploy), but I don’t know the tips to remove it, I’m going to search

I lost few hours this time but usually I gain so much time thanks to fog, that’s not a big deal.

Oh, is there a difference between git and svn version ?

And last question, I reinstalled computers yesterday with 0.3 client, is there a way to uninstall it in bulk before installing new clients (with command “msiexec /i FOGService.msi /quiet WEBADDRESS=“192.168.1.2” WEBROOT=”")

I agree with that, I updated svn each day and trouble began last thursday I think, don’t remember precise svn version at this date.

For uninstalling/reinstalling client, already did (a lot of time ^^)
With rebbot between, and each time douwnloading client from web interface to be sure it is up to date.

For the other solution, where is the certificate store ?

Communication with server is good, for exmaple snapin and printers are ok

With 0.3 client all is ok, with 0.9.4 client all is ok in log for printers or snapin, communication seems good with server, but certificate error…

I test with removing new client and installing the old one, and everything works fine (hostname changer + AD joining).
Certificate problem between fog client and fog server…

I’m sorry, but has somenone a solution ?
I’ve 300 computers to fog before wednesday, i began to stress a little ^^

Since I restored my VM, I suppose AD joining will be ok, but the problem is certificate error, hostname changer didn’t work. do you know how to fix it ?
For information, I install the lastest svn with -C -K argument, after that I downloaded the new client and install it on 2 clients, but always error “Invalid host certificate”

Ok, after restoring my fog VM, I’ve launch isntallation script with -C and -K parameters

Hi

In the second post I’ve just paste lines about section “hostname changer” from fog file in one host.
I have a lot of other problems since thursday (fog began to download images on hosts and the hosts reboot after few percent or I have no access to web console durnng downloading hosts…), so I’ve just restored an okd backup, I’ll make new test on monday.
