Just did that fix, having now “booting from san device 0x00” then nothing happens…
1.0.1 was working just fine, updated to 1.1.0 and it failed hard, chainloader would’nt load Windows up…
We’re rolling back to 1.0.1 =/
Hi!
I’m a school sysadmin in France, I have a trainee with me thoses weeks, and we just reinstalled FOG on 1.0.1 version.
Impressive work Tom !
One of his missions is to create a dashboard with infos from FOG/Nagios/GLPI/Centreon & More.
We crawled in the php code and found out that there’s no simple way to include External Authentication except by hacking Processlogin.inc.php.
We are already using a CAS server for GLPI, some topics on the forums suggest to add Shibboleth or LDAP or MS-AD, maybe some would like to auth via Kerberos or IDK other sources of authentication (facebook? hahaha)
We’ll try to work it out our way with CAS using phpCAS library and publish our code here, do you think it’s possible to have a global “External Authentication” settings menu/plugins system/hooks so people like us and others would be able to implement their source of auth. ?
Cheers!
(excuse my english, i’m just a froggy french guy)
Silly question from a noob, i’d like to update my SVN version of FOG 0.33b (don’t remember the r*** number) to see if it can solve a problem with WindowsXP+Resizable problem (Partimage prompt a “Third argument invalid directory/fifo”), what’s the best way to do it ?
svn co on existing folder and relaunch install.sh ?
other idea ?
I’d like to keep my actual installation which works fine.
Sincerly, Alex

I work in a High-School, I have over 10 colleagues in other schools using FOG too !
I’ve had the same issue, finally it works for me, Win7 cloning without Sysprep.
My setup is :
[]Lenovo Edge 72 3493 (Core i3 + 4Gb ram)
[]HP ProLiant ML 150G3 FOG 0.33b server

Windows 7 Volume licence MAK installed with applications, no Sysprep
1st try :
Installed my master machine (EDGE-TECHNO) with all applications
FOGPrep master machine + bcdedit commands
–> ends up with a bizarre state “Missing Boot Record”… I used Ultimate Boot CD to fix MBR
2nd try :
Fixed my error, MBR OK, Master computer image booting, etc
FOGPrep master machine --> Upload to FOG Server (took 38 minutes)
Deploy the image on a second computer (EDGE-SPARE), took approx 3 minutes (speed up to 4,7Gb/min)
Ends up with “[…]\winload.exe 0xc00000e” error we all know about
I can fix that easilly with Windows 7 install DVD but my goal is to clone 18 computers
3rd try :
Changed the image type from Windows 7 - “Single Partition (NTFS Only, Resizable)” to Windows 7 - “Multiple Partition Image - Single Disk (Not Resizable)”
FOGPrep master machine --> Upload to FOG Server (took a 40 minutes)
Deploy the image on EDGE-SPARE, took around 3 minutes
Reboot after cloning, works like a charm !
It takes a little more disk space on my server but it now just works fine, join the AD and so on !
Hope it can help someone here to clone correctly without having the 0xc00000e error
Alex
Hi Tom i’ve had that issue with mainmenu.php yesterday, i’ve made a fresh install from SVN repo and found the issue but I didn’t have an account on the forum, so I fixed it on my own hopping someone would report it…
I’ve also had issues with the FTP account, the fog+randomnumberpassword won’t work out of box, i had to “passwd fog” user and change settings in config files + in FOG webui.
Now i’m stuck with classic 0xc000000e hardware has changed, is FOGPrep still ok ?
Keep up the good work!
