      You mean sudo -i?

      Where exactly is the Apache log file found?

      When I run:
      service FOGMulticastManager stop; sleep 5; service FOGMulticastManager start

      And Run:
      tail -100f /var/log/fog/multicast.log

      The log file does not change.

      In particular which of the apache logs did you want to see?

      Thanks!

      Moderator Note: I added this the feature request I put in the other day as well…

      Updated to:
      Thu Jul 21, 2016 9:58 am
      Running Version 1.3.0-RC-1
      SVN Revision: 5936

      Now I cannot multicast at all. My multicast service is running. I stopped and restarted the service. Cleared out the DB and it’s stuck on the particlone screen.

      All I get in the log file is this…

    • PXE Quick Registration w/ a Hostname

      If I could get the benefits of quick registration and be able to set just the host name, that would be huge. Many times all I look to do is just set the hostname and do nothing else. If I’m doing an entire lab it does not make since to do quick registration the way it currently is.

      Just a thought. 🙂

      Thanks!!

      I’m in the middle of putting every PC in our district into our FOG server and one thing I find myself having to do manually is shutdown each host manually after registration. I know not everyone may be interested in this but adding a prompt to do so would be amazing.

      Just an idea!

      Yeah it’s crunch time and I’m behind the 8 ball! 🙂

      As far as this host goes… I was able to actually PXE boot into FOG and register on another occasion. As far as DHCP goes, it isn’t on a different segment of the network.

      I bet it’s the particular room I’m in. I just tested PXE boot in a different location. Seems to be just fine. Nothing abnormal there.

      It’s always something!

      Thanks for the quick response!!

    • PXE TFTP Read Time Out

      Got this message when I was trying to PXE boot a few new hosts. I was able to register the hosts just fine with FOG another day. Today, I’m in the middle of a small 4 machine multicast and am trying to run a simple deployment task with a different host and I’m getting a TFTP timeout error. I’m getting this error on more than one host on the same switch.

      Is this a network error or a FOG error? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    • RE: Windows 7 Sysprep Blackscreen

      @george1421

      I had no idea I needed to disable the FOG client before sysprepping. So I’m guessing that’s the issue. I’m very green with scripting language in Windows…

      Below is my current SetupComplete file.

      If this is out of line please let me know. I am using a script from Sophos in the first part of that to install it. Then I am performing a simple delete command to delete my unattend file.

      What would I have to add at the end of it in order to disable FOG client?

      :Install Sophos
      @echo off
      SET MCS_ENDPOINT=Sophos\Management Communications System\Endpoint\McsClient.exe
      IF "%PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE%" == "x86" GOTO X86_PROG
      IF NOT EXIST "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\%MCS_ENDPOINT%" GOTO INSTALL
      exit /b 0

      :X86_PROG
      IF NOT EXIST "%ProgramFiles%\%MCS_ENDPOINT%" GOTO INSTALL
      exit /b 0

      :INSTALL
      pushd \\172.16.1.17\share
      SophosInstall.exe -q
      Popd

      :Delete Unattend File

      del "C:\Windows\System32\sysprep\unattend.xml"```

      Thanks!!
