RE: FOG image deploy is failing due to looking in wrong folder?
Yeah Tom dropped by for a quick second or two (I am thankful) not sure if it is a bug, but the image would not deploy via tasks at all. At Tom’s request, I tried debug deploy and it still would not fire off. However for some silly reason it worked perfectly when I launched from the FOG splash screen.
So I guess we can mark this as solved? One other quick item though, my “active tasks” screen only blinks the active task, then auto-hides the actual task for some reason. Any idea why?

Looks like Tom pointed me in the right direction.

FOG image deploy is failing due to looking in wrong folder?
Running Version 1.5.0-RC-7
SVN Revision: 6080
Aug 22, 2017 21:46 pmAbout 2 weeks ago, due to an image uploading problem (bad sectors on hdd) we built up a new server with the above version. (thanks Tom Elliott) We discovered after the first upload that the image was uploading to a /images/dev folder for some reason. FOG configuration page shows only the /images folder, but when trying to deploy an image FOG fails with trying to find the image in the /images/dev folder. Why is this? I can’t find the offending issue. Help please?##### Server

RE: Lenovo L540 w/ Intel I217LM Ethernet Device - Won't load TFTP
Hey Tom. I am using my Windows DHCP server services. Do I need to change the name of the iPXR file there too? Currently set to the default kpxe file

RE: Error ipxe 1d8c2139
Tom, have no idea what the “symbolic link” thing is, but I ran the above code lines you sent to me. I now get:
TFTP.
PXE-T01: File not found
DASH-E3B: TFTP Error - File not found
DASH-M0F: Exiting Option ROMI also tried restarting the TFTP daemon. Still nothing. Now NO stations will acquire the iPXE. What happened? How can I fix?

RE: Error ipxe 1d8c2139

Issues, cannot delete host, cannot add image to host
Hello all.
Not sure what is going on here. I create a new image. That works properly. I create new host, and associate new image with host. That works properly. When I try to edit the host, the image information is gone, and I get the following error message:
“Upload task failed to create for with image

You need to assign an image to the host”
Now I am stuck. I can delete the image entry, but I cannot delete the host. On the server itself, there is no file for this host. HELP!!! -
RE: Imaging stuck on upload after finished
Buehler? Anyone? Guys, I have seen multiple posts on here about this issue. Do we have any idea what’s going on, or when a fix might be in order?
-
RE: Imaging stuck on upload after finished
Ok, so other troubleshooting steps taken.
I tried tftp x.x.x.x. get undionly.kpxe and got positive results. However, when I try tftp -v X.X.X.X -c get undionly.kpxe from the FOG server (via putty) I get permission denied. Any thoughts? -
RE: Imaging stuck on upload after finished
John, have no idea what you just said here. How do I do this?
o fix my issue I had to set the unix user password to the plain text password. The entry in the config page still needs to be fogcrypt’d.
-
RE: Imaging stuck on upload after finished
My humble of apologies! I did not see the 2nd page in this thread. Silly me. Trying that now…

RE: Imaging stuck on upload after finished
Anyone??? I upgraded to v1.1.2 and still the same issue appears (TFTP invalid password)
-
RE: Imaging stuck on upload after finished
Tom, I am on v1.1.1 and I just updated an image. All went well, and got the image upload success message. Now the laptop is looping on the FTP login incorrect message. I do not recall setting up an FTP password. Can I just change the password via the FOG interface or does this need to be does elsewhere at the server level? (Ubuntu 12.04)

RE: Error after upgrade from 0.32 to 1.0.1 Upload task failed to create for with image
I’m using Webmin. Will using that backup option work ok? Have no experience with it. Just installed it two days ago.
