boot to HDD not working
currently using FOG (SVN 6455)
When we boot a PC through FOG PXE, it drops out to HDD but just displays flashing " _" in the top left.
With fog 0.32 i thnk we had to add something to the chain…?..?Any advise on getting them working again?

RE: reboot needed for FOG Client
Yep, sorry for the delay.
Noticed that if you just reboot the machine it works next time. Seems to be the 1st full windows boot it doesn’t work (not always)
I syspreped on 17/03/2016 @ 11:57 (so anything after is a deployment record)

reboot needed for FOG Client
Re: FOG Client 0.9.0 - Joining to domain?
SVN 6455
As in the link above the FOG log shows:
ERROR: Could not set SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ComputerName\ActiveComputerNameComputerNameChecking the services, the FOG is stopped but set to auto. If I start the service / reboot it seems to continue.
Why does it not work the 1st time round? -

RE: Protected Images & Hosts / Groups
don’t get me wrong. we know how to script installs / use GPO.
just some items are just not worth the work at the moment. -
RE: Protected Images & Hosts / Groups
only items like Sage or bspoke applications we use.

RE: Protected Images & Hosts / Groups
It would be nice to protect the upload host against changes. so if someone creates a group they don’t alter these machines.
Another protection idea (maybe for FOG 2.0) when you deploy to some machines it would be nice if you could some how verify a high profile machine. So if it needs extra work or you have to remember to bake some config from it 1st then you have to acknowledge you know this is required. Currently we set these machines to not boot from PXE so we have to do it manual, forcing you to think about it.
