    • Image not saved to Storage

      Hello Guys,

      as my system disk crashed, I had to resetup my whole FOG-Server. Fortunately I still had a database dump.
      So I reinstalled Ubuntu server, FOG 1.2.0 added the database and directly updated to FOG GIT-version 6303. After some doublechecking of my configuration everything seemed to work perfectly.

      Today I wanted to capture my first image after the crash, but the image is not saved to my storage.
      The process starts normally, and shows the capture of all partitions, but in the end when

      “Updating Database” is shown, this fails and I get the message

      “An error has been detected!
      Could not complete tasking (bin/fog.upload)”

      Does anybody have an idea, what is wrong?

      Thank you in advance.

      Regards
      Lars

      I just updated to 5760. Still the same.

      I tried pasting without hypens, and also typing the product key manually, but still the same issue.

    • RE: Host Product Key not saved correctly in Web Management interface

      Hi,

      I tried both ways.

      Let’s assume the following:

      Win 7 Product-Key: 8G5KK-JRS5Y-WRT98-72H5B-V9V2A

      If I paste it including the hyphens, it is shown without hyphens, as long as the cursor stays in the filed.
      After clicking on “update” to save, only this is shown in the field:

      8G5KK-JRS5Y-WRT98-72H5B-V

      When I click into the field again, I only see

      GKKJRSYWRT9HBV

      until the page is reloaded.

      The same happens, when pasting

      8G5KKJRS5YWRT9872H5BV9V2A

      and doing the mentioned steps.

    • Host Product Key not saved correctly in Web Management interface

      Hello,

      I use FOG 5754.

      When I try to add a product key through the webinterface (in Mozilla Firefox), the last four digits are cut. When I click into the field again, there a different and shorter characterstring is shown.

      Sorry to open this thread again…

      Where exactly does the install-script get the ip (${ipaddress}) from?

      I just saw, that it pulls an old ip, which is not valid any more.

      Thanks in advance.

      Ok, I feel absolutely sheepish about this… I made a huge error in reasoning… 😕

      I thought the dialog during host registration

      Would you like to image this computer now?

      would mean, if I want to save an image of the new host’s harddisk.

      I am so sorry.

      Thank you very much.

      I hope now everything will be fine for me.

    • RE: Unable to locate image store - FOG 1.2.0

      Hey Guys,

      it is absolutely frustrating, but I don’t find a solution for this problem.

      I now changed the permissions of the folder /image to 777 recursively.
      I also went through the troubleshoot guide twice, but still the same.

      I tried three different clients (hosts), but always the same message…

      I also removed FOG completely and reinstalled it. No change…

      Do you perhaps have another idea, or are there any log files I can check?

      Thank you in advance.

    • Unable to locate image store - FOG 1.2.0

      Hello there,

      my first day in this forum and already the second thread…

      When trying to image a host, I always get the error message

      Unable to locate image store

      I know, that there are several threads concerning this issue in this forum, but unfortunately I did not find a solution yet.

      I checked the permissions of my /image directory.

      drwxr-xr-x   4 fog  root  4096 Jul  3 12:13 images
      drwxrwxrwx 2 fog root 4096 Jul  3 12:13 dev

      There are also .mntcheck files in both directories…

      Can anybody help me, please?

      Thank you in advance.

    • RE: FOG-Server with two NICs on Ubuntu Server

      Guys, thank you very much. I found the solution for this issue. I changed FOG_WEB_HOST to 192.168.2.100 and the PXE-Boot is working.

      But now I get the message

      “Unable to locate image store”

      Although there are several threads concerning this issue in this forum, I did not find a solution yet…

      I think I will create a new thread.

    • FOG-Server with two NICs on Ubuntu Server

      Hey guys,

      I am trying FOG-server on a computer with two network interfaces.
      eth0 should be used to access the web interface as well as internet access.
      The server IP address is 192.168.1.141.

      eth1 should be the interface for imaging. This one is configured to the address 192.168.2.100.

      During FOG installation I chose to not use an existing DHCP-Server, but using the FOG DHCP server. This one is configured to eth1 and is already working.

          Base Linux: Debian
           Detected Linux Distribution: Ubuntu
           Installation Type: Normal Server
           Server IP Address: 192.168.1.141
           DHCP router Address:
           DHCP DNS Address:
           Interface: eth1
           Using FOG DHCP: 1

      The corresponding FOG-Settings are the following:

      FOG_TFTP_HOST = 192.168.2.100
      FOG_WEB_HOST = 192.168.1.141
      FOG_WOL_HOST = 192.168.2.100
      FOG_WOL_INTERFACE = eth1
      FOG_NFS_ETH_MONITOR = eth1
      FOG_UDPCAST_INTERFACE = eth1

      When PXE-Booting from a machine directly connected to the server’s eth1, I get the following error message:

      http://192.168.1.141/fog/service/ipxe/boot.php… Network unreachable

      Can anybody help me configuring this to 192.168.2.100??

      Thank you in advance.
