hmm I only know step 8 using drivers from http://driverpacks.net so i am not much help, hopefully someone else will chime in
what other drives are you missing i find that the driverpacks has them all for my setup. and then windows update will finish it off
I have gotten my image to deploy to a virtual machine. When the DP_Install tool begins extracting, it stops and prompts me with a message box No files to Extract. I click ok and it begins extracting fine.
Also, how do I add drivers? I have an HP Elitebook 8560 with several devices that did not have drivers installed. I have the drivers downloaded from HP, but I am not sure how to inject them into the base image
re-read STEP 8 you need to download the driver packs and copy them to the necessary folder
i rename by machines using FOG to rename them as per the name i register them with
are you using fog 0.32?
see below on how to update the client boot kernel, also use forum search option

thanks for the share, still haven’t got around to trying snapins yet but i’m with the info above this should be quite easy to get working.
START /wait GoogleEarth.exe /S /v/qn /V"/qn ALLUSERS=1
say i wanted to deploy something else is it as simple as changing googleearth.exe to the exe that i want?
yeah give 10.04.04 LTS Server a go, spin one up in Virtualbox.
Install Webmin 1.580 to manage it
oh fair enough, you could mention that you can install the client to enable domain joining, but disable all other services (to stop any other network traffic). PC can also use name given in FOG Webui, then join domain with that name, thats what I have set up.
It use to be backwards at my old place of work, that’s what led me to FOG
Shoot me a message if you need a hand, it is possible for both. But would advise looking into moving to FOG completely with it I have successfully transferred two secondary schools to windows 7 all thanks to FOG
The FOG install folder there is a backup script, search the forum there are a few threads on this
I’m on me phone at the moment, but first thought is. %localhost% maybe
Yeah i found it when I checked my Dropbox folder, its the guide that got me started with sysprepping.
Why do you not use the client, I only use it for joining domain?
hmm, yeah it will always create a sata drive you just need to delete it and add and ide one, sounds like your doing it right,
this guide first got me started with using Virtualbox for building images
