    • unsure of Revison for adding new storage node.

Im away to add a new storage node to my fog setup.

I have my Ubuntu 14.04 installed same as other storage and fog server.

      I did update from 1.2.0 to “7208”.

When i try to pull down that certain revision it says it svn: E160006: No such revision 7208.

Im sure i did the SVN upgrade not the GIT.

Any ideas what revision im actually on?

Just tried upgrading, storage node went fine.

But the server seems to have failed.

      alt text

When i go to the management page it fails to load the database stuff.

Just reverted back to my snapshots to keep fog running mean time.

    • group management deploy task / multicast not working.

Im running for 7208 as server and storage mode.

I was on 1.2.0 but upgraded to 7208.

When i try to deploy an image or multicast to a group i get a error. Well “The IP ADDRESS page isnt working”

Can deploy images to single computers, just get a error page when trying to deploy to groups.

Nice, changed the exports and rebooted.

Looks to be uploading the image now, folder with mac has appeared in the /images/storage/dev folder.

Many thanks for the speedy help!

      On the Node:

      /images *(ro,sync,no_wdelay,no_subtree_check,insecure_locks,no_root_squash,insecure,fsid=0)
      /images/dev *(rw,async,no_wdelay,no_subtree_check,no_root_squash,insecure,fsid=1)

      On the Fog Server:

      /images *(ro,sync,no_wdelay,no_subtree_check,insecure_locks,no_root_squash,insecure,fsid=0)
      /images/dev *(rw,async,no_wdelay,no_subtree_check,no_root_squash,insecure,fsid=1)

      So both the same

    • Failed to upload Image to Storage Node

Just setup a new fog server 7208 and storage node.

The storage node was updated from 1.2.0 and the fog server was fresh install.

Uploaded database backup from old fog server to new one.

Added the storage node and i can build ok, i just cant upload any images.

I get error “failed to create image upload past (prepareUpLoadLocation)”

I have checked permissions and i think they are correct.

Anyone else came across this and able to advise?

      Thanks Duncan![alt text](1_1461231037404_storage noe 3.PNG 0_1461231037403_IMG_0348 (Medium).JPG

    • RE: FOG::ClientUpdater Unknown error, module will exit

Yes this is what it was.

Virtual box has been deployed and they all seem to have the same MAC.

Deleted the MAC out of SQL database, restarted mysql and snapins started to deploy.

Bit weird how Virtual Box is using the same MAC for multiple installs.

Anyway to easliy check for duplicates? I had to search a few log files to get the MAC address.

I did read that it may be an issue because i have VM Workstation installed, so it has extra MAC address.

I tried to remove my pc for fog and register it again with only the 1 MAC address. But the log still shows it as having 3.

This is going to be an issue as i have a a few work rooms with Virtual Box and the pcs have multipliable MACs and snapins will not deploy.

Anyone got an answer to this?

      Thanks in advance.

      Just sorted it.

Cleared all the tasks off from the mysql.

delete from tasks where taskStateID = x```

x being the number. i just did them all 0 -5.

      Morning,

Task Management Page not displaying for me. all other pages are working just this one.

My FOG server is Ubuntu 13.10 64bit, on VMware. I have a fog storage also on VMware. Yesterday the fog storage ran out of space. Deleted a snap shot and this free’d up some space and it started working.

The only thing my team noticed was the the Task Management page was not working.

I have tried to reinstall fog 1.2.0 but this did not help either.

      Does anyone have any ideas?

      ok great.

I was kind of hoping i didn’t have to go down that route and i could of done it with the PXE boot on the pc.

Seems you cannot do it this way.

I will create a script for the next time i down fog.

      Many thanks.
