RE: Final reboot does not happens
Sorry guys I think this one to the wrong place.
Can someone please move this:
https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/8114/update-to-refocus
to this current post?Thank you in advance.

Update to refocus.
Re: Final reboot does not happens
I think I need to refocus the subject.
Original issue: Systems are booting on BSOD after image deployment after doing an upgrade on FOG.
Facts: Images have not been changed. Hardware has not been changed. Hardware has not been reconfigured. FOG was updated.
More images are being discovered to boot systems into BSOD but not all.
Discovered: Missing fog user in MySQL user table. fog user still presents in passwd file. Password for storage same as password .fogsettings.
Assumptions: Possible corrupted images. Missing permissions, wrong access through MySQL.Another image was found doing BSOD today. This is an old image about 3 months old.
Still collecting more data and a debug. -
RE: Final reboot does not happens
After uploading the file the cursor is at the bottom left.

RE: Final reboot does not happens
@Wayne-Workman
Sorry got busy at work.
It crossed my mind to delete the current image just in case it was corrupted and then recreated from scratch and then the password happened.
But after inserting the password the entry still remained.On a side note, while the idea of password protection is good, it would be best to give user access levels base on roles.
Just an idea! -
RE: Final reboot does not happens
I totally understand what you are saying.
I will collect the data and post it as soon as I can.
Thanks. -
RE: Final reboot does not happens
Thank you again Wayne-Workman.
I did not changed that option but, again, I did not changed it on any of the other systems and they are working normally.
Will experiment with this new feature. -
RE: Final reboot does not happens
Thank you for the update now I stand corrected.
However, the system is not deleting the record or the image.
It is still there in the FOG, however, the files no longer exist in the /images/ folder. -
RE: Final reboot does not happens
The hardware has not changed.
Please my response to Tom Elliott. -
RE: Final reboot does not happens
There is not RAID in the system or configured as a RAID.
This system is a laptop, this particular laptop is not used for production it is the system designated for imaging.
I have used it many of times to update the image but now, after uploading the image, all that I get is the BSOD.
It is hard to do a fdisk when I can boot to the system to see the partitions.
Let me see if I can manage to do it from a live distro. Will post results in later. -
RE: Final reboot does not happens
I look into the database under the users table and there is not fog user any longer. Will this cause a problem?
I also took a look a the password for the storage and the one located under /opt/fog/.fogsettings as indicated by the following article:
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Password_Central
Both passwords matched perfectly indicating that it might not be the password for the storage.
I have also look at the fog user in /etc/passwd and it does exist.
I have looked a the permission for the /images and currently is set 777.
Another issue I am encountering is when I delete an image a username and password is requested but, I am not sure if this is related to the missing fog user in fog database.Any help greatly appreciated.

Final reboot does not happens
I have done an update and after that when an image is uploaded and the system provides the final warning to reboot, the system does not reboot. I just sit there at a black screen with a cursor blinking. I am unsure if because of this my latest uploads are not properly being uploaded. Now when a deployment takes place the image goes into BOSD. The image is a clean image with only couple of software and drivers.

RE: Invalid GPT table
Thank you so much for all your assistance!!!
FOG is fully functional again.You guys are the best!!!

RE: Invalid GPT table
@Sebastian-Roth
I try to FTP tot he server using the FOG account and it failed.
I am thinking that the password for the storage changed after the last update; it is giving me grief since them.
How can I solve this particular issue? Where do I need to make the changes?
The two last images that were uploaded are unable to be download as the system does not recognized the new images due to the task never was finalized. -
RE: Invalid GPT table
@Tom Elliott
Thank you, Tom the fixparts command fix the GPT issue.
I will try to do a system with full GPT table and see if it upload. -
RE: Invalid GPT table
@Tom Elliott
The directory has the following permissions:
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 16384 Dec 11 17:16Will this be for the Lenovo or for the HP or for both?

RE: Invalid GPT table
@Sebastian-Roth
Is there a specific option do you want me to run after running gdisk -l /dev/sda/?
I am getting a menu that is all. -
RE: Invalid GPT table
@Tom Elliott
I ran the test and it was successful. I was able to copy a file from my system (Windows 10) to the FTP in the fog server, then I was able to delete it as well.
I am not sure what was the test for other than to make sure if the access to write and delete are in place and the service is working?
For this so far so good. -
RE: Invalid GPT table
Here is another error after uploading an image for a Lenovo Touch B50-30.
