RE: New Fog Server Build Cannot Deploy
Ok, I did the following in GParted.
Wiped the partition table and created a new msdos based table.
Formated the drive to NTFSSame error persists. Do you have a suggestion on formatting to try?

RE: New Fog Server Build Cannot Deploy
I have some more info regarding this post.
Apparently, the 16GB SSD is not soldered on. I found it under the battery in the T440s. The drive is a M.2 SSD and once removed the laptop imaged correctly. I would still like to get this to work without removing the drive. I will test formating the 16GB SSD with gparted to see if FOG will enumerate it properly.

New Fog Server Build Cannot Deploy
Hello all,
I just built a new Fog Server, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit
I am on Fog version 6020 using bzImage 4.3.2When I try to deploy my image to a Lenovo T440s or T450s I get a write cache error. I am using Bios in Legacy mode and DHCP is set as undionly.kkpxe.
Thanks,
Chris -
RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
Ok, since my FOG is a VM on vmware I can take a snapshot and always roll back in case we break anything

RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
I am using FOG in a Windows Environment where I set options 66 and 67 on our DHCP server running on Windows Server 2008 R2.

RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
I run Ubuntu 12.04 and the newest FOG patched with the latest SVN to get the work around for the Yogas to work.

RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
Proxy dhcp I am aware of, but never used. ltsp.conf I have never used.

RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
Tom,
I am willing and able. I have 50 Surface Pro 3’s that still need to be imaged and I am not a fan of the Microsoft solution. What ever it takes to help the FOG team I am here to help.
Thanks! -
RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
MRCUR,
I ended up building a MDT and WDS server to get the Surface’s deployed. -
RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
I just tested again and Tom you are right about the typo, it is looking for default.ipxe

RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
I am using a stand alone FOG server v. 1.2.0 running on Ubuntu 12.04 server x64. DHCP is handled by ubuntu. I am trying to image a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with the Microsoft USB3 gigabit network adapter. When I have the boot file set to ipxe.efi tftp asks me to enter in an IP address. Everything else I have used FOG for iPXE just flows to the fog menu, it never stops. When I type in the IP address of the TFTP Server (also DHCP server) it searches for http://192.168.0.1/default.kpxe and when it doesn’t find it, times out. I tried to enter in the full path of http://192.168.0.1/ipxe.efi and it also times out like it can’t find ipxe.efi or doesn’t know what to do with it.
Thanks Tom.

RE: Surface Pro 3 PXE:
I get the same result when using ipxe.efi where the tftp boot server is asking for an IP address. I tried the ip address and the full path, e.g. http://192.168.0.1/ipxe.efi and it just times out When I tried snp.efi and got to the menu, but it just resets back to the menu when I try to inventory.

Change TFTP Boot File
Hello all. This is most likely easy, but I can’t find the answer. I have fog running with a Windows DHCP so to change the boot file there I change opt 67 on the DHCP server. I have now setup a stand alone FOG running Ubuntu 12.04 and would like to change the TFTP boot file to the UEFI compatible one for MS Surface Pro 3 testing. Where do I tell Ubuntu’s built in DHCP server what boot file to use?

RE: TFTP Timeout
So, I have installed a fresh Ubuntu 14.04 server since I read that there were problems with tftp in 12.04. Still no luck. I am thinking more and more it could be a problem with the Barracuda not passing the tftp server through, even though I have the ip address of the fog server entered.

RE: TFTP Timeout
Tom,
You fixed the FTP problem. The fog user password was incorrect. I have that reset and can now ftp into the server. However I am still getting this error message when I try to boot from LAN:
PXE-E32: TFTP open timeoutThanks
