Thanks. I could not find a reason to query for all fields in the table (*) when only the gmHostID was ever being used. In all the calls to the function I could never see where other fields were being used out of the result set. Since I didn’t want to mess something up I didn’t know about, I made a new function and changed the call in the specific page.

The only thing I can think of then is that maybe you don’t have the generic KMS key on your windows 8 host. Try changing it:-

Ozzy - well done, great info. Like Jaymes Driver, I used your process (slightly edited for use in command line only Ubuntu 12.04 LTS) to compile a new kernel with SCSI drivers included, for working with VMWare SAS disk virtual machines. Thanks mate 🙂

P.S. add a few more screen shots and it’s good for the wiki!

Nevermind me. I figured out what the different parts being recompiled actually do. Maybe next time I’ll wait until after my morning caffeine has kicked in to ask questions like this

While old, I think it’s worth mentioning here if only for documentary purposes.

The /opt/fog/service/etc/config.php file now only contains a pointer to the FOG Servers FOG Web GUI information. This means what’s stored in the commons/config.php is the same info used for the FOG Service files. I’ve made great strides in adding the relevant sql questions and updating the information as well and believe it’s fairly safe to close this particular bug as resolved.

I you are using host specific kernel settings, that will work for any tasks you setup through the WebUI in FOG, but will not work for tasks selected from the PXE boot menu. If you have a gmail account, I can share my kernel with you. Just PM me your email.
