0.33 has been / will be tested further with all supported distros.
Redhat based distros are annoying, package names change a lot and differ between each distro. WTB consistency.

You may have noticed that the FOG forums has come under attack from spammers.
Please be assured we have taken precautions to stop this.
We are in the process of removing spammers. Please feel free to alert me, or the Community Managers to any problems.
The error is a little misleading. The message means it’s unable to connect to the server with the TFTP server via FTP.
I’ve had a few reports of this problem. It seems to be compatibility issues with Ubuntu 12, I’m sure some packages have changed.
http://redobackup.org/ have a nice partimage GUI
“Unable to start task - Unable to connect to TFTP server” refers to not being able to connect via FTP to the host with the TFTP server.
Packages might have changed for Ubuntu 12 which has caused this problem.
Check the FTP daemon ‘vsftpd’ is running on your ubuntu box?
Feel free to make it so Lee I would like some spinning email icons with flames if possible.
See strong bad for some help: http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail51.html
Need more information. What type of Image? NTFS Resizeable I’m guessing?
If so your filesystem must be 100% tiptop or you will get lost files during the NTFS partition resize, delete and recreation.
This is outside of FOG’s control and is down to the badness of NTFS.
Always chkdsk /x multiple times, reboot in between.
Fixed in SVN for 0.33. Thank you for reporting.
Please see this thread in regards to NTFS Resizing testing: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/ntfs-resizable-testing.1102/
Please report a solution if found
The FOG client code has never been formerly tested on Windows 7 with its “interactive services detection service”.
I have no doubt this is a bug and related to this.
If FOG can add, but not remove it’s either:
A) trying to remove the printer incorrectly (probably not) or
B) being denied permission to remove the printer from the registry
Try editing the services properties, make it run as your domains ‘Administrator’ (or an account with Administrator access).
Stop -> Start the service… can it remove the printer?
Please report back your findings.
Good work tracking the problem down.
Zero MAC Addresses found is a problem. If you have further problems i would modify the hostnamechanger source code, add some debug lines to the log the machines network card information.
For what ever reason, it sounds like there is a delay in the initialization of the network card; thus no MAC Address information.
Obviously it would be best to fix this correctly, but i see no issue with a delay on the FOG service.
I’ll add a note to look at this code in the future. I will add some checks to make sure we got a MAC Address.
There is a lot of “behind the scenes” changes that will make 0.33 easier to work with, most i haven’t written about. It’s all there in SVN for previewing
Seems harsh, but your other post of “Please please please, single partition re-sizable for Win 7 images” got my attention.
This post here shows at least 2minutes of thought. I’m sorry if you think this is harsh.
Maybe i should post a template so people know how to correctly ask for help?
With hooks you will be able to remove any columns you don’t like in tables.
There are lots of changes in 0.33. You will be able to move ‘Upload’ into the advanced menu by altering it’s row in the database.
I have created a new “Task Types” object that will allow you to create other “Tasks” w/ custom code etc
I believe you could use the language files to alter the words “Upload” and “Download”
After 0.33, i want to look at recreating various sections. i.e. deploy will use javascript with real time feedback of progress.
So many ideas, so little time.
This might be possible with hooks in the future.
