Well, The cron syntax wouldn’t “disappear” unless your web front end translates the date/schedule to a Cron style system automatically.

Yes the idea should be possible, though I don’t know how best to help except to help provide basic syntax of the API so you can process and parse the data that’s returned.

I guess, though, I don’t fully understand the why. Everything (with exception of the scheduled cron tasks) is already available via the GUI we provide as a part of our software. “viewing said Scheduled tasks, view active tasks, and when a system is added to the host list that host will be added to the web page” are already done with the provided interface. Why create a new hen-house when the one you got with the land is also a hen house that does everything you need it to do.

@0juke You are more than welcome to help us improve this part of FOG. I don’t think we will find the time to add your suggestions in the near future. Just too many other things on the list.

@Sebastian-Roth I’m currently using 1.5.7, but due to a little more thorough research, it appeared to be an issue with the apache webserver. After correcting the PHP time zone It now works as intended. Thank you for your help though.

@0juke Guess there is some useful information for you here: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Add_%26_Extend_a_2nd_Virtual_HDD

Other than that we need more specific information on what exactly you did so far (“So I would like to expand the space of the server uses . I’ve done this on the VM but…”). Only when we know what exactly you did and what system/software you use we will be able to help properly.

@0juke If you did not make any changes to your dhcp server then that is the primary problem. PXE booting client relies on 2 settings in dhcp. They are dhcp option 66 {next-server} and dhcp option 67 {boot-file}. These options tell the pxe booting client how to boot.

For dhcp option 66 that needs to be the IP address of the fog server.
For dhcp option 67 needs to be undionly.kpxe for bios based computers and ipxe.efi for uefi based computers.

Without these settings the client computer will not know how to boot.
