Description
Hi all,
I’m trying to upload an image to the FOG Server but I keep running into this problem which I haven’t seen before:
I’ve been able to upload images before from this VHD so I’m not sure why it won’t upload it now.
Any help would be appreciated as always -
Is 6016 RC26?
-
Would it be possible to update to a more current version of FOG? (current SVN is at 6021)
-
-
Also, appears to be a similar issue to https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/8958/ntfsresize-ssd-intel-pro-5400-series
-
Sorry for my ignorance, but what is “Version 6016?”
-
This post is deleted! -
@Tom-Elliott Sorry, meant to put: 1.3.0-RC-26
This is still happening even after updating FOG. -
@RobTitian16 RC26 is svn version 6021 though. Are you sure it’s running RC26?
Either way, I doubt it would resolve it since this part hasn’t been altered since afaik.
-
@Quazz Yep, it’s now svn version 6021, sorry. I updated it on Monday evening.
-
@RobTitian16 Sorry to sound mean with the question, but the question had to be asked. For example, version 5050 (if there is indeed a version 5050) would work great because the version would be directly that, but SVN Revision is not the same as the Version, so version 6016 would’ve been a VERY old trunk release (shortly after sourceforge came back in 2014 from it’s three week down period.)
Did you see the information @quazz linked for you? Can you check the things it’s asking and provide useful information so we can try to better assist?
-
@Tom-Elliott Yep, here is the output as requested:
-
@RobTitian16 How much free space does the 89.5GB partition have? And did you defragment the reference disk prior to attempting capture?
-
@Wayne-Workman I’ll try re-imaging it again and then upload it after I’ve made the changes.
When I tried to load it into Windows after sysprep, it was stuck on a black screen with the mouse cursor. It clearly shows something wasn’t right with the system and FOG must have picked up on it. -
@RobTitian16 Probably failing hardware, most likely the hdd but maybe RAM. Try using a different system for this and see how it goes.
-
@Wayne-Workman I can confirm this is now working - I just had to re-image the system and sysprep it again. It’s now uploading fine.
Thanks for the help and suggestions
