@jhuebner This is going to be crazy. I’m now aware of what is happening, but I don’t have a nice mechanism to fix.
THANK YOU UBUNTU (Really Ondrej?)
php-gettext is the package that is installed (notice that it doesn’t have a version to it?)

I had some other issues with Ondrej’s repository. I think it’s a bit of a mess.

Try these steps please:
rm -rf /etc/php* /etc/apache2* apt-get purge php5* php7* apache2* libapache*php*
Edit the /opt/fog/.fogsettings file.
Change out the php_ver to read with
php_ver='7.1'
Change out the php_verAdds to read withphp_verAdds='-7.1'
Delete the packages line.Rerun the installer.

Yeap, that works

@Duncan Two confirmations now. @ryanxplosion has also found this problem and just confirmed with me on the “fix”
-
Does this mean yours is now working too @Duncan?
-
@Duncan The services now start - I didn’t have the chance to test a multicast-session, but would assume it now just works, yes.
-
* Setting up fog user.........................................Already setup * Setting up fog password.....................................OK * Backing up user reports.....................................Done * Stopping web service........................................Failed!
This is what i get now - never simple is it
-
@Duncan I had the same problem and ran rm -rf /etc/php* /etc/apache2* and apt-get purge php5* php7* apache2* libapachephp again and ran the installer again and it worked.
-
no luck still failing
-
@Duncan Can you show us exactly what you’ve tried?
-
sorry, i think i have it now.
