    Server
    • FOG Version: 1.3.0-RC-21
    • OS: CentOS 7
    Description

I need to move a Laptop with FOG installed into an existing offline environment so I need to change the IP address of the FOG server after the initial installation.
I tried to follow the wiki article https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Change_FOG_Server_IP_Address

Of course, I lose connectivity after step 1. (change OS IP address)
Step 3 says to rerun the installer which seems to get stuck without internet connection.

I then tried to setup an additional wireless interface to get around the connectivity problem but next thing was the installer stalling at the database backup step. I undid the changes I made in steps 1 and 2 of the wiki article. The installer ran fine then but now I am back to square one 😞

What do I need to do to setup the FOG server in a way so I can use it in a preconfigured offline environment?

    Thanks for your help!

Thank you very much! It worked 🙂
I had to use this repository, though: https://github.com/wayneworkman/MakeFogMobile
The one you mentioned had some files missing and the installer returned an error because of that.

      Thanks again!

@Wayne-Workman has a script for a mobile fog server that should do what you need.

Clone this whole repository using git:
          https://github.com/FOGProject/fog-community-scripts

It’s the one in there called “MakeFogMobile”, there’s an installer and all.

If you need help or have issues, come back to this thread and tell us.
