      THAT is a long post! 😛 I’ll check it deeper today but something came to mind when reading it fastly (“fastly”…that exits??): Could it be that the client on each computer isn’t updating itself as it is set up to?

        @Alien That’s exactly what that other guy’s issue is. And because all your apache errors are from the file /var/www/html/fog/lib/client/updateclient.class.php mostly, I think that’s your issue too. Which is why I requested the log file from a host - we need this - please get it.

        Basically your problem in a nutshell is - the new client is failing to be authenticated when a host downloads it, so it’s not installed and the host re-tries to download the new client again later. In environments with a large number of hosts, it can really strain the server with all the downloads.

        Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!

            I just tried to install it manually on 1 pc and , at the end, it says “unable to insttal CA certificate”. So yes, seems to be the same thing.
            Let me five minutes to copy the log on a usb key.

              @Alien What OS is your fog server running on? Since it’s French logs I’m guessing Ubuntu? Please let me know.

              And - please run this command and give us the output, and also at the same time please provide us with the exact date and time there where you are too, from a cellular phone.

              After this, if it is wrong, update your date/time on the server, re-run the fog installer, and try again.

                Yes, it’s Ubuntu 14.04.
                Here is the result of date: vendredi 16 septembre 2016, 10:24:15 (UTC+0200)
                When I typed it, it was 10:23 on my office computer and 10:24 on my phone (that I just set up from “speaking clock” we find on internet (I don’t know if you have this in english).

                [EDIT: i just synchronised it with a french ntp server. I’ll rerun the install this afternoon after checking if it kept it right. I’ll come back to tell you the result, thanks.]

                  @Alien These messages are not from the New client at all. The legacy client had 0 auto updating capabilities.

                    Oh, sorry. I removed the legacy client from this pc and tried to install manually the svn one and I thought the fog.log was its result.

                    I don’t think this one will help much as there’s no sign of the IP this particular pc was using at 9h20 am…I’ve search the entire log for it and it’s nowhere to be found.

                    Oh, wait. Are you saying that when we select the “update client automatically” option (or something like that), it had zero chance to work??

                      @Alien the update client is the legacy client update mechanism module. All it did was update some modules, I think config.inc was able to be updated as well. This member get on null is probably because the file just doesn’t exist and therefore the object it’s calling is set to null. That said I’m fairly certain those errors are fixed for RC 11. The update client did not update the client to new versions.

                      The client auto updater is what’s used for the new client. The new client has the capability to auto update to newer versions. This is what’s broken on the other threads. In your particular case this is not your issue.

                        Sorry for the long time (managing more than two site is pretty crazy).
                        In despair, I’ve erased the whole disk (images included) and reinstalled. Everything works fine (for) now. I suppose I’ll never know what the problem was.
