Problem updating fog: Backing up Database ... failed

Currently on Fog trunk, but a very outdated version. Cant remember exactly what it was, maybe 7084 or something similar. Also I cant access the web gui to see it. I’m also on Ubuntu 14.04. The problem occurred when I tried to update to the newest version of fog, everything seemed to be going alright until this point, the one other thing that it said whilst installing was “server subnet mask: error: c is not recognized”. I checked .fogsettings and the subnet is correct. I’m not very skilled with commands so bare with me.

I know there was a post similar to this but I believe his problem had to do with the fact he had a proxy, I do not.

Where you cloned the fog repo, can you look inside of
bin/error_logthere will be some files in there, with version numbers on them. Get the latest one and upload it here please. The file contains all the redirected output from the installer, and it’s how we will know what is going wrong. -

@K.Hays I suspect db issues. Try to connect to the DB, use the credentials in your .fogsettings file.
mysql -u fog -h fog -pfoggy -D fog
Note that no space between-pandfoggyis intentional.The
snmysqlhostbeing set tofogis suspicious… normally this is left blank, is set tolocalhostor127.0.0.1for the main server. -
