This is most often due to a bad storage node being found. Please check all settings for storage nodes are appropriate for your layout.

@Tom-Elliott Sure but it’ll be tomorrow now as I’ll soon be out the office.
-
@shird You can also try updating again. The strangeties of earlier this morning should be corrected for now.
-
@Tom-Elliott Cool. Shall give it a go. Thanks again Tom.
-
@Tom-Elliott I think this is fixed now. Registering a host took considerably longer than before but it did eventually go through.
-
@Tom-Elliott Appears fixed! Able to register host and am now capturing the image on 5772.
-
@Tom-Elliott I do see an “error” that “The host is already registered” when registering a host for the first time. This shows on the same line as “Done, on to imaging” (when that option is selected). Doesn’t seem to actually stop anything from moving forward, but the information being displayed is a bit odd.
-
@MRCUR Probably from older issues. If you completely remove the host and rejoin, does it work better?
-
Updated to 5778.
Still having issues with doing a full registration. Apache is currently reporting the following error:
[Wed Jun 29 09:47:03.453736 2016] [:error] [pid 10683] [client x.x.x.x:33658] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on string in /var/www/fog/lib/fog/host.class.php on line 373
Quick reg is showing as “Attempting to register host …Failed” however Apache is reporting the same error as above.

Apologies, working now. User error! Time to get some coffee…
Thanks again for the help Tom.

@Tom-Elliott The odd “host is already registered” message doesn’t show up on SVN5774, but registering is still oddly slow. The only part that is slow is the “Attempting to register host…” part. Once it actually starts moving through the inventory it’s fine. Not a huge deal functionally, just noticeably slower than it was on any previous build.
-
@MRCUR Please try updating and seeing if it goes any better. My suspicion is your fog server’s load average is high right now as well?
-
@Tom-Elliott I will update later today and test again. Load doesn’t seem to be an issue:
