GIT 8038: The Hide Menu button works like No Menu

I have Hide Menu set with a 2 sec timeout, and login required. When booting normally I see the normal 2 sec wait until local login. But, if I press ESC I get the login menu (like normal), but after I login I see boot.php being called twice and back to the Booting… screen rather than the menu. This never times out and just hangs. This is on 8036 and 8056 on a Red Hat 6 server.

If you disable hide menu does it work? Just troubleshooting here.

Should be fixed in latest, sorry about the issue.
