Anyone have a 3.4 kernel to hand?
If your having issues , try the 3.4.1 or roll back to a kernel that works with them machines.
well, the thing is, it works just fine, but the server gets slammed and we loose all contact with it, and the ram usage goes through the roof!
could the kernel have something to do with it?
the fog kernel I mean?
thank you again. -
Will the more ATI drivers be rolled into the Kitchen Sink 3.4.x? I am currently using this kernel for any workstation that has an ATI card, otherwise I get the snow screen.

well I can report that we rebuilt the server with Debian, and for a while it seemed to do just fine until it stalled out and we had like 8 computers to go. I think I will start a new thread.
I do want to know, what kind of hardware does your fog server have in it? could that be the problem? could we have a server with not enough power in it to do the job?
thanks -
I don’t think you need a powerful server - I’m using an HP Microserver (AMD N36L processor) with 3Gb ram and 2 x 1Tb sata drives in software raid 1 so not exactly a Ferrari… It has no problems imaging 10 machines concurrently and I’ve not seen any memory leak issues. I’m on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and FOG 0.31 running the 3.4 kernel.

My server hardware
Its just an old Dell T3400 with a terabyte drive, nothing beefy at all, even on 100mb connection to network, will change soon to 1 GB (should see a performance improvement)
