Issues after upgrade to trunk
-
I work for a school and inherited a fog server that was configured by my predecessor. I’m running .32 on Ubuntu 12.0.4. I wasn’t present for the initial set up, obviously and I’m pretty new to linux. I’m needing to upgrade a few hundred windows 7 desktops to windows 10 and recently learned that .32 doesn’t support windows 10 and it was suggested that I upgrade via the instructions on this link.
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_to_trunk
Everything seemed to go ok, but now I’m not able to access the web based management interface at all and am not quite clear where I went wrong. Just hoping I could possibly get some advice here. Thanks in advance.

Is the ip still the same? Not sure if it would change because of an upgrade but its something to look at i suppose. Also, were you able to get to it when it asked you to update it?

@K.Hays I think part of my issues is that I got overzealous and began the upgrade without checking certain factors first. Prior to the upgrade it had a static IP that is in the pool of my server vlan. At least according to the documentation that was left. Prior to the upgrade I was able to just type in http://fogserver/ and it would load the management interface login page, now nothing. As for your question, I initiated the update. I was able to get to the interface prior, but not after the update. I’ve used it several times to image windows 7 machines, I’ve just never dealt with the actual set up/configuration of it prior to today.

http://<serverip>/fog/management have you tried typing that?

@adukes40 Yes, I have. Still nothing. Both from the linux machine’s browser that fog is running on and from my laptop that I typically use to access the fog management interface.

@splatterbuns Sorry to ask this again, but were you able to check to make sure your ip is still the same static ip?
