Also - we still don’t know what hardware you’re trying to register. We also need to know what OS fog is installed on.

@issa1998 said in display issue and host registration issue:

but after doing clean uninstall of fog 1.20

Ok, that’s new information. How did you do a “clean uninstall” ? What instructions did you follow? Did you wing it?

@issa1998 a kernel update may help, but maybe you should check out fog trunk? It will likely solve both of your issues. It’s the developmental version of fog, what will be 1.3.0 eventually. The community feels it’s pretty stable (comparatively to 6 months ago, or a year ago).

@issa1998 I would say the first step is to update the FOG to the trunk version. That way you get the latest kernels built in plus support for uefi firmware, gpt disks, and windows 10. You can upgrade the kernels in 1.2.0 stable manually, but then you don’t have support for the 3 things (plus a bunch more) that the trunk build provides. Just be aware the trunk build is a little unstable, but if you can tolerate a little instability you can benefit from the upgrade.

Please identify the target hardware you are trying to boot.

My guess when you say bad resolution the target computer is running in 80x25 (old terminal style) resolution. This will happen if the kernel (bzImage) doesn’t have the proper drivers for the hardware you are trying to boot on. (i.e. latest generation device with a kernel that is 2 years old). FOG does not directly control the target screen resolution in the pxe or registration menus.
