Domain Joiner
-
Hi there Guys!
Fog-Server is working like a charm now , thanks to you all ;)!
Just one little problem.** Version : 6617 - didn’t updated yet today because of imaging**
The auto domain joiner isn’t working after the image.
With a bit of luck , some PC’s joins the domain but not all. And then after a 2-3 manual reboots.
I added the domain defaults on 3 places1) At the Fog Settings : Active Directory Defaults
At Group Management. My Computer is member of the group StudieZaal
At host Management
Why isn’t this working correctly most of the times? Any idea?

@boeleke Hi, what the OS of the image ? Have you some virtual hypervisor installed on your image like virtualbox or vmware ?
-
Hi there ,
it is an windows 10 clone/image , uploaded from XenServer. -
@boeleke Noted for the OS, but for the virtualisation my question is : have you on that image vmware workstation or virtualbox installed ?
-
No , there is no VirtualBox or Vmware installed.
I just deployed the same image on a desktop , & he restarted immediately to join the domain.
On the laptop , he isn’t. -
@boeleke What version of FoG client are you using ? 0.9.11 ?
I ask you about that because I’d that problem on 0.9.10. -

I ask you about that because I’d that problem on 0.9.10.Was going to ask the same thing. Good thinking.
@boeleke
Also, the new client doesn’t need the new password encrypted by fog-crypt; this will actually break domain joining for the new client. Only the legacy client requires fog-crypt, the new client needs credentials capable of joining the domain typed into the “Domain Password” field as plain-text. -

@boeleke The legacy password is for the legacy client : it’s useless in your case.
Could you post the fog.log present on a client atc:\fog.log
