The Storage Groups associated storage node is not valid
-
hi there ch3i ,
i have no idea. I think QNAP-storage.
But i deleted the image. (Can’t find it in /images default storage or QNAP-storage). -
I teamviewed with @ch3i , but he can’t find the solution.
Maybe @Tom-Elliott can.
I hope so. -
@ch3i said me to upload my image again in a different node (on my NAS) & its giving the same errors.
I hope the @Developers can help me further
-
Tom helped me.
He solved it ;)! -
@boeleke issue was the image was set to the wrong group that actually held the image. Changed put the storage group and all worked as expected.
Some of the installer issues where vsftpd couldn’t be restarted was simply because the environment was sourced incorrectly. Changing out by using
sudo -i
fixed installer problems. -
hello,
wa have the same problem, we can capture an image but we cannot download image.Could you please tell us how did you resolve this please ? Our version is trunk 6929.
Thank you

fixed installer problems.Had the same issue today with a fresh install. I’m using the “sudo -i” command during install and still having the issue.
That said my fresh install today I used the “Update To Trunk” install method found here https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_to_trunk
I tried to replace the node group but lost my images so now I figured I’d re-install Linux and start from scratch again.
I’ll first try with a install of Fog from the website regular install, image up a computer then download an image. If that works I’ll try the trunk upgrade again and see what happens.
We need multicasting so I guess I have to do the Trunk Upgrade?

You do not need to install 1.2.0 at all, you can go straight to trunk.
and when you say you lost your images, what do you mean?

@Wayne-Workman
I added a new node and removed “default” trying to get around getting the error of the node group.I’m now uploading a new image and I’ll see how it goes with a download then I’ll upgrade to trunk

@MacGeek83 The images are not gone, just the image definitions are - because you deleted the node, which contains all the image definitions. You can recreate these manually if you like.
