Has anyone ever imaged using a macbook uploading the image to the fog server? I already have a fog server up in running but my images are windows desktops.

        Unetbootin:

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ - download it for whichever OS you’re currently using.

        iPXE iso:

        http://ipxe.org/download

OR as an alternative, you can use the Clonezilla live CD iso and choose the network boot option (which chains iPXE) – that’s located below:

        http://clonezilla.org/downloads/download.php?branch=stable

@fredlwal I’d suggest doing that as that’s a known workaround which takes about 5 minutes to set up.

@fredlwal Have you tried to download the iPXE ISO and use “UNetbootin” to put it on a flash drive like suggested? I tried on an older MacBook Pro using svn 3551 and it worked fine (booting anyway, didn’t have a Mac image).

yes I do it all the time! The trick will be getting the devices to boot into fog. You can download an ipxe iso and boot off a usb cd, or use unetbootin to put the iso on to a usb drive and boot from there. I am in the midst of finalizing the FOG Service for MAC. it installs a efi and windows partition that boots off the network. I have been imaging 1500+ macs a year with fog. It works very well.

Where have you been all of my life?
