      Hey all,

I’ll try to make this short, as it’s not so much a problem as it is a thought I had… Basically, I have 2 fog servers, 1 at each site and it’s 1 domain. I’m on the newest fog revision and newest fog client service.

My question is, if a computer that is imaged at siteA gets moved over to siteB, what’s the recommended way for updating the client sevice to point to correct server?

I haven’t tested, but I’m guessing updating the registry wouldn’t solve because there is still the old cert/token, so would an uninstall/reinstall be required?

      Thanks

        You have two options:

        1. Re-install the client (you MUST uninstall it manually first)
        2. Make both FOG servers have the same CA keys, this will make the client trust either one.

The long-term solution is having only one FOG server, and having storage nodes at the different sites. You could use the “location plugin” also.
