Image download is stuck at 99%
-
I did these steps …
- clear all files in /images
- delete databse from fog
- run fog installation
- upload an image (works fine)
- try an download - but failed .mntcheck is missing
- create .mntcheck file
- try the download again - it works. (unicast)
- try multicast - failed on “starting to restore image” without an error.
- reboot fog server
- try it again - nope …
- run again the fog setup (last time it fixed the problem)
- start multicast
- 97% - 98% - 99% - 100%
- and after 5 min still at 100% … no reboot …
- after a hard reboot - problem again partition size is not correct.

@Tune389 Hi, have you test multicast with multiple hosts ? If yes, could you try with a single host.
-
@ch3i same Problem
-
@Tune389 I’ll try to multicast on my server.
-
-
@ch3i at “starting to restore image” ?
-
@Tune389 Yep. Have that in my log :

Reading the log, that’s the speedest multicast deploy of the world lol

@ch3i I have the same issue, executing the fogsetup fixed this (see here) problem. I don’t know why but I have to execute the setup also a second time after a clean installation to fix the upload freeze.
edit:
@Wayne-Workman the Problem is not solved only the freeze at the start of the upload -
@ch3i any new informations about your tests? Is it working now, or is it a generally fog bug in the current version?
-
-
@ch3i okay thanks for the info. I try now to downgrade my fog version back to 1.2 …
